...Everyone knows that there is a huge load of devs at XDA trying to tweak and customize and overclock a phone to its best potential. So obviously Samsung might be giving a window to these devs to show what the true potential is. Of course its GPU is underclocked for battery life. And the average user aint running benchmarks all day. So they must have done this just to show what the chip is actually capable of. And thus balanced out power n battery life to give the best experience. Sheesh people.. can u guys actually say that this underclocking/overclocking has actually affected performance?
The real life performance of the Octa variant is still unmatched and In-Game benchmarks like Unreal Citadel are still unaffected by this, yet they boost a higher score for the i9500 variant, so there is nothing here which can be termed as "cheating".
The power is available inside the GPU which is shown off in benchmarks so its not like Samsung is overclocking the GPU or tricking the benchmark or any thing which might produce biased results.
3) In-Game benchmarks like Unreal Citadel engine don't use this trick but still, the GPU score of the i9500 variant are more than that of the i9505. Also most people using the Octa-Core variant have reported that the graphics and their framerates on the i9500 are unmatchable up till now by any Android phone.
