The Battle of Ilovaisk started on 7 August 2014, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine and pro-Ukrainian paramilitaries began a series of attempts to capture the city of Ilovaisk from pro-Russian insurgents affiliated with the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and detachments of the Russian Armed Forces. Bitno je da si ti razrijesio. Ja (mi) nismo ni imali dilemu.

Sve sto se događalo je sasvim logicno.
Nema hrane, goriva, pojacanja... ide zima. Po noci oka ne mozes sklopiti.

Snihurivka pala u vojnickom nadjebu. Danima se prica o povlacenju, a isti dan objavljeno zvanicno da se povlace.

I sta ce ostali garnizoni u Hersonu onda uraditi?
Panicno se povuci da ne ostanu zadnji, jer je palo jako uporiste koje stiti cijelu liniju, a istovremeno znas da nece doci pojacanje jer pocinje povlacenje.
Ruse mostove preko rijeka i potoka da kupe vremena da ih Ukrajinici ne mogu stici.
Ukrajinici ne deru barze jer nece duse djece i civila na svojim plecima.

Ali deru mjesta okupljanja vojske na lijevoj obali, jer civili su vec otisli svojim putem.

Previse trosis ruske medije.
Nije nemoguce da se desi neki dogovor, ali kako vidimo do sada Ukrajinci nisu ni malo glupi, a sada nije vrijeme da oni popustaju pritisak.
Ja mislim da slijedi i bitka svih bitaka do kraja godine. Zaporozje, Melitopol, Mairupol-Berdyansk. I rušenje Krečkog mosta ponovo.

Cannot but admit: that was very hard to believe at first, because the Russians are not withdrawing from anywhere voluntarily, and there was more than enough Ukrainian overoptimism (and Russian panic) by now. For me, it was only once Shoygu made his announcement that thing began to clear: it wasn’t his order, only Vlad can make decisions of that kind: but, he’s never going to make that in the public. Thus, once again, Shoygu had to play a scapegoat (which is his duty, anyway).
....guess, one can interpret this as a confirmation for the condition of the Russian Armed Forces being worse than concluded on basis of social media reports: they’re really in tatters and all the 70,000-90,000 reservists rushed to the frontlines the last month have achieved is to, once again, overload the logistic system of the VSRF...
12,000-15,000 Russian troops should be withdrawing from Kherson City, another 5,000-7,000 from the Beryslav area - and mostly by boats because none of bridges is left intact and ferries ard all heavily shelled.
I agree with those who are assuming that they‘ll have to leave behind all of their heavy weapons.
Ukrainians are cautiously following - and already approaching Kherson (city). But, foremost acting with artillery: seeking an opportunity to convert this affair into a rout...

BTW: rumors along which Ukrainians should be crossing the Dnipro.... sorry, no way. It is very likely that their special forces and Guerilla have reinforced their campaign of ambushing Russians in southern Zaporizhzhya, though.
....just don’t want to think about all the bestialities committed by the Russians, in Kherson and oblast around it - and which are going to become known in the coming days and weeks: hope, the thug responsible for handing over the city to Vlad‘s hordes is going to be brought to justice.
....the only thing really funny to watch will be Vlad spinning his story ever further in the coming days: after all, he has surrendered something he declared - even if not clearly defined - for a part of the Russian Federation to ‚Satanist LGTBs on Dope‘....
