During the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Fizuli region on January 14, the construction of tunnels began along the first technical level highway, which was laid from Fizuli region to Shusha.
According to the new project, the length of the road will be 84.6 km due to the construction of bridges and tunnels in areas with difficult terrain. In addition, it is planned to build road junctions of different levels on the new route.
A total of 7 tunnels are being built along the road, including the tunnel laid by President Ilham Aliyev on June 14 on the Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway passing through the Dashalti village. The total length of the tunnels under construction will be about 6.3 km.
The tunnels will have 2 lanes in one direction and 12 meters wide. Work has already been completed on the entrance to the tunnels, which will vary in length from 360 to 3,300 meters. At present, drilling, blasting and firing methods are underway to remove rocky parts of the tunnels.
The project also envisages the construction of 9 viaducts in different parts of the road, and work has already begun in this direction. In addition, the construction of 59 water pipes on the road, and 10 underground passages where necessary, is also planned for the project.
It should be noted that the first 48 km of the Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway, built bypassing large settlements with 4 and 6 lanes, as well as the famous Topkhana forest, will consist of 6 and 48-84.6 km of 4 lanes. The width of the roadbed will be 29.5 and 21.5 meters, respectively.
The construction of the highway is being carried out in four parts. These are the 0-17 and 17-34 km sections built by two subordinate organizations of the Azerbaijan State Agency of Motor Roads, the 34-51 km section built by AZVIRT LLC and the Turkish company Kolin Inshaat. is a part of 51-84.6 km built by
The construction of the landfill has already been completed on the 0-3, 34-37 and 51-53 km sections of the road, and work is underway in the next kilometer. So, at present, earthworks and excavations are being carried out on the 17-42 and 51-84 km sections of the road. In addition, the construction of a bridge on the 49th kilometer of the road has begun.
The construction work is carried out under the supervision of the agency's management in accordance with the requirements of the Construction Norms and Rules.
The road passes through the liberated Fuzuli, Khojavend, Khojaly and Shusha districts, taking the beginning of the road from the M6 Hajigabul-Bahramtapa-Minjivan-Armenia state border highway.
This road project, implemented in coordination with other relevant government agencies within the Working Group on Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Interdepartmental Center under the Coordination Headquarters, is an integral part of the unified transport concept of Karabakh.
