Last year, Google purchased the Picasa photo software company. Today, Picasa's now released the second version of its software.

The new version, called Picasa 2, will be the first release of the software since Google acquired Picasa Inc. six months ago. Picasa, of Pasadena, Calif., introduced its namesake application for finding, editing and sharing digital images in 2002.

While Picasa 2 adds a range of features for photo editing and organizing, it also introduces Google-like touches to the application.
These include two organizational features copied from Google's Gmail service. The first is the ability to highlight a "star" icon to organize photos and narrow searches. The other lets users create labels so instances of a photo can exist in multiple places.
The update also replaces a Picasa-branded service for buying digital prints with the Picasa Marketplace that connects to popular photo-sharing sites such as Ofoto Inc., Snapfish, Shutterfly and Walmart.com, said Lars Perkins, the general manager of Picasa.
Directly within Picasa, users can upload photos to the online photo services and then be taken to the services' Web sites to order prints. Picasa does not receive any revenue from the services and plans to integrate with other sites, Perkins said.

For photo editing, Picasa 2 has added 12 visual effects options, including sharpening and color tinting. It also provides one-click tools for fixing common problems. These include "fill light" for adding light to dark areas and a tool for straightening the horizon in an image.
Picasa 2 also provides the ability to back up photo albums to either a data CD or DVD and to create a gift CD that creates a slideshow of photos.
The new version adds support for RAW data files, a high-resolution format used by leading digital camera makers.
After buying Picasa, Google made the software available as a free download.
Picasa 2 also will be free, and it supports Windows 98 and higher.

ja sam godinama koristio AsdSee za pregled vise od 20000 fotografija

Nadam se da ce ovo biti bolje i preglednije rjesenje...

pored irfanview programa nalazim da je Picasa odlichno rjeshenje, posebno u ovoj verziji 2, gdje su neke stvari poboljshane i ispravljene. Uzhivaj.

Hidden Camera is an easy-to-use and extremely effective employee monitoring solution that increases productivity several folds by eliminating any PC activity not directly related to work.

This is how Hidden Camera works – after the software is installed, a manager (supervisor, business owner) can see what’s going on the employees PC monitors (active window or full-screen) real time. Up to 50 user PCs are supported and the program can be set up to automatically save screenshots at specified intervals.

While a manager can continuously monitor employees (which makes sense during training or when an employee is suspected of misconduct), this is truly an exhausting task. Quickly looking through saved screenshots takes less then 1 minute per employee and can be done by any authorized staff member. Split-screen mode is supported (4, 9, 16, 25, 36 screens simultaneously). The program starts working as soon as monitored PC is being booted.

After the program was originally released, Oleansoft inquired about program effectiveness. It turned out that in all companies that publicly announced implementation of Hidden Camera and demonstrated how it works, there was not a single incident of employees playing games or visiting adult sites.

After other employees got caught and fired for imitating work (for example, by opening Word documents but not actually working with them for hours) the productivity of the rest jumped 25-400%. The knowledge of the fact that an employee could be watched (which should be reinforced infrequently by phone calls, presenting prints of screenshots or making comments) turned out to be enough. The results were so amazing that most managers stopped using be program because employees were self-disciplining themselves.

Some companies found other uses for Hidden Camera. The program is being successfully used for remote education and presentations, help-desk services and mutual collaboration on various projects.

sta omogucava ovaj hiden cam

samo screenshot ili live prenos radnji na pcju

da li to znaci da ga mogu koristiti kao Radmin /remote administator/ koji preko mreze prenosi signal tunnera na drugom racunaru dok ja lezim u krevetu i gledam utakmicu na laptopu, uz Radmina na oba racunara i tunner na drugom, naravno... ?

jel podrzava multi-konto?

u zadnje vrijeme je dokurcilo non stop provjeravat mail na kojekakve webmail pendzere.. a eudora, koju koristim vec skoro deset godina za moj studentski account, ne podrzava multi-konto.. tako da je vrijeme za nesto novo..

outlook 2003 izgleda cool, ali vecina sigurnosnih rupa se uglavnom ukaze u ovom programcicu, pa ne bih da budem medju onim koji prvi padaju..
