Lord Mayor's Message
I am humbled by the great honour bestowed upon me by being made Lord Mayor of this great and vibrant City. I am also mindful of the many responsibilities this post brings with it, so I will strive to work for every Manchester resident. My personal desire will be to support examples of social inclusion and development by recognising and giving equal worth to the many religions and faiths within the City. Therefore, this year I have decided to appoint a chaplaincy team comprising representatives from all the City’s major faiths in recognition of our diversity. It is vital that all our communities are able to benefit from the opportunities being created in the City. I will encourage and support partnership working across the City to promote economic growth that helps to tackle worklessness and reduce exclusion. I will champion the Council’s drive to make this City a clean, green and pleasant place to live, work and play. I look forward to working with all the communities across the City to make every neighbourhood a great place to live.

MAO Manchester, kako to gordo zvuči
