Poštovatelji jedne od kultnih skupina s kraja 70-ih i početka 80-tih godina, mančesterskih "Joy Division" zasigurno će biti više nego zadovoljni zbog činjenice da su u pripremi čak dva filmska projekta o životu i preranoj smrti legendarnog frontmena te grupe Iana Curtisa koji je 1980. godine počinio samoubojstvo.
Prvi film trebao bi biti snimljen na osnovu Curtisove biografije "Touching From A Distance" čija je autorica Curtisova supruga Deborah, koja bi trebala biti i koproducentica.
Njima će konkurenciju praviti projekt američke producentice Amy Hobby koja se pak udružila s Britancem Nealom Weismanom, bliskim prijateljem preostalih članova "Joy Divisiona", danas okupljenih u grupi "New Order". Rad na soundtracku za ovaj drugi biografski projekt o Ianu Curtisu povjeren je Mobyju.
Ian Curtis/Ian Kevin Curtis (Joy Division)) (15.07.1956., Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, - 18.05.1980.); noć prije nego su Joy Division trebali posjetiti Ameriku, Ian je nađen obješen. Prema poruci što je pronađena, riješ je o samoubojstvu: "At this moment I wish I were dead. I just can't cope anymore".

slusam maloprije na steve lamacq-ovoj emisiji (u intervju-u) da je za ... khm ... ne skontah tacno ... ali jal za reziju jal za fotografiju (a mozda i za oboje) zaduzen legendarni fotograf, videast i reziser anton corbijn. tako da mene POSEBNO zanima prva verzija.Prvi film trebao bi biti snimljen na osnovu Curtisove biografije "Touching From A Distance" čija je autorica Curtisova supruga Deborah, koja bi trebala biti i koproducentica.
