#1 Hari Mata Hari za Eurosong 2006 ?

Post by ja_sarajevo »

http://www.oikotimes.com/site/index.php?id=3240According to ''Dnevni Avaz'', the most sold newspaper in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hari Mata Hari will sing for the Balkan nation in Athens. The singer, who is famous throughout the former-Yugoslav region, won the 1999 Bosnian national final but was later disqualified after it was revealed that his song was just a copy of another. It is believed that Hari Mata Hari will sing all songs in a televised national final and views an an ''expert jury'' will chose the song.

According to our collegues at hallo-copenhagen.dk, composer Fahrudin Pecikoca has claimed that a deal was signed seven days ago. However, Oikotimes' Amra Nadarevic was told by Dejan Kukric- the head of Entertainment & Music programes at BHT1- that ''a lot of stories can be found on the internet, but the question is what's true and what is not. BHT 1 and BH Eurosong team will announce all details about bosnian representer and bosanian selection when it is time. Mean while anything else found on the net is just rumours.'' Needless to say that we will be waiting expectantly for more information regarding this story

Varesanovic has confirmed that he has been in negotiations with PBS-BIH to sing at the 2006 contest.

He has however sounded a note of caution adding that he will only represent Bosnia and Herzegovina if he is happy with the song. "We have put together a team to work on Eurovision and it will make sure that everything is done to ensure we come out with something that is right for the contest," he told newspaper Dnevni Avaz today. "We have a month to get things together and I am confident that a really good song will come out of this," he added.

The singer revealed that he has approached Tonci Huljic and Dino Merlin to be a part of his team. Huljic has written Eurovision entries in the past for Croatia, Merlin has written for Bosnia in both 1993 and 1999. At the time of writing, Merlin has confirmed his place in the team. Varesanovic commented, "I am very glad that authors from the whole region are going to take part in the project of making my song for the contest this year, I am also hoping to undertake a promotional tour overseas."

Several recent Bosnian Eurovision artists were asked to comment on the choice of Varesanovic for Eurovision. Alma Cardzic was enthusiastic, "Hari is a top singer. He deserves to represent us at Eurovision. If he also gets a good song, he can count on a high placing.” Flamboyant singer Deen, who sang for Bosnia in 2004 shared her enthusiasm, "Hari definitely deserves to represent us at Eurovision. He is a great artist, with a long career in music. He missed his chance in 1999, so I wish him the best of luck this time."

There was somewhat more guarded praise for his selection from Sabahudin Kurt, who sang for Yugoslavia in 1964, "Even though Hari is one of our best singers, I don't think it's the best solution. Love ballads aren't attractive any more. However, my experience says there are no rules at all at Eurovision". Al Dino, who took part in Bosnian finals in 2001 and 2002 agreed, saying, "Hari is a good singer. The only problem is the way he has been selected. I prefer festivals. There won't be any excitement now. Still, I think Eurovision has become a competition amongst amateurs in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last couple of years."

Zna li neko nesto vise o ovome ??
