Bismillah!

At the hour of the morning-drink a beloved said to her lover

by way of trial, "O such-and-such son of such-and-such,

I wonder, do you love me or yourself more? Tell the truth,

O man of sorrows."

He replied, "I have become so naughted in thee that I am

full of thee from head to foot.

Of my existence there is nothing (left) in me but the name:

in my being there is naught but thee, O thou whose wishes are gratified.

By that means I have become thus naughted, like vinegar, in

thee (who are) an ocean of honey."

Moji utisci o knjizi: predivno umjetnicko djelo, zaista ulazi duboko u ljudske misli otkrivajuci svaku stranu ljudskog uma, vrijedi citati nanovo i nanovo :) i svaki put nesto novo se otkrije :)

Bismillah!

Zato što ne mogu spavati

Zato što ne mogu spavati
Ja sklapam muziku po noći.
Ja sam uznemiren onime
čije lice ima boju proljetnog cvijeća.
Ja nemam niti sna niti strpljenja,
niti dobre reputacije niti sramote.

Hiljadu ogrtača mudrosti je nestalo.
Svi moji dobri maniri su odbjegli hiljadu milja.
Srce i um su ostavljeni ljuti jedno na drugo.
Zvijezde i mjesec su zavidni jedni drugima.
Zbog ove otuđenosti materijalni kosmos
se sve više skuplja i steže.
Mjesec kaže, "Koliko dugo ću ja biti bez sunca?"
Bez dragulja Ljubavi u meni,

Turaka, Europljana, i Zanzibaraca,
daj mi čašicu iz Tvoje flaše,
ili šaku kanabisa s Tvoje Grane.
Ukloni koru još jednom.
Mi ćemo vidjeti hiljadu gazda ničice na poklonu,
i krug ekstatičnih svirača će svirati.
Onda će ovisnik biti oslobođen požude.
te biti proživljen,
i stajati u strahopoštovanju do Sudnjeg Dana.

Bismillah!

Lord, said David, since you do not need us,
why did you create these two worlds?

Reality replied: O prisoner of time,
I was a secret treasure of kindness and generosity,
and I wished this treasure to be known,
so I created a mirror: its shining face, the heart;
its darkened back, the world;
The back would please you if you've never seen the face.

Has anyone ever produced a mirror out of mud and straw?
Yet clean away the mud and straw,
and a mirror might be revealed.

Until the juice ferments a while in the cask,
it isn't wine. If you wish your heart to be bright,
you must do a little work.

My King addressed the soul of my flesh:
You return just as you left.
Where are the traces of my gifts?

We know that alchemy transforms copper into gold.
This Sun doesn't want a crown or robe from God's grace.
He is a hat to a hundred bald men,
a covering for ten who were naked.

Jesus sat humbly on the back of an donkey, my child!
How could a zephyr ride an donkey?
Spirit, find your way, in seeking lowness like a stream.
Reason, tread the path of selflessness into eternity.

Remember God so much that you are forgotten.
Let the caller and the called disappear;
be lost in the Call.

Bismillah!

We are as the flute, and the music in us is from thee;
we are as the mountain and the echo in us is from thee.

We are as pieces of chess engaged in victory and defeat:
our victory and defeat is from thee, O thou whose qualities are comely!

Who are we, O Thou soul of our souls,
that we should remain in being beside thee?

We and our existences are really non-existence;
thou art the absolute Being which manifests the perishable.

We all are lions, but lions on a banner:
because of the wind they are rushing onward from moment to moment.

Their onward rush is visible, and the wind is unseen:
may that which is unseen not fail from us!

Our wind whereby we are moved and our being are of thy gift;
our whole existence is from thy bringing into being.

And now, the end is here
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and ev'ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
"Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way"

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!
