Today, in Istanbul there was a ceremony for the opening of a mosque, which is named after the later President of Bosnia and Herzegovina "Alija Izetbegovic Dzamija". The Dzamija is located in the district where mostly Bosnian Turks are living. The name of the district is "Pendik". The ceremony was just before the Dzuma, and after the ceremony Dzuma was prayed.
It is not only for Bosnians that Alija Izetbegovic is a great man, but also for all muslims around the world. He did all he could for Bosnian Muslims' rights and independence.
Not only is there a Dzamija, but there is also a library at named after our leader.
Head of Greater Municipality of Istanbul Kadir Topbas, Alija Izetbegovic's son, Bakir Izetbegovic and his wife Sabiya Izetegovic, Head of Turkish Governmental Religion Office Prof. Dr. Ali Bardakoglu, Head of Bosna-Hersek Religion Office Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ceric, Bosna-Hersek Istanbul Consulate Yusuf Pusina, District Governor of Pendik Mustafa Haluk Saygı, Head of Municipality of Pendik Erol Kaya, Head of Municipality of Tuzla(near district of Pendik) Mehmet Demir, Assistant Secretary General of Greater Municipality of Istanbul Saban Erden and muftis from different districts of Istanbul were in the ceremony.
