In an emotional journey Bob Stewart MP, who was a Nato commander in Bosnia, meets the people who many years later are struggling to cope with the aftermath of the bloody conflict.

It is estimated around 100,000 people died in the fighting, making it the most devastating conflict in Europe since the Second World War.

Mr Stewart also re-visits the scene of the 1995 massacre of some 8,000 Muslim men in the town of Srebrenica.

Amid bullets and bombs and under fire from shells and snipers, this handful of passionate book-lovers safeguarded more than 10,000 unique, hand-written Islamic books and manuscripts - the most important texts held by Sarajevo's last surviving library.
