Dutch school cancels visit to mosque after parents object to unshod deference to Islam

Strictly religious students from the Dutch reformed (church) Pieter van Zandt College in Kampen are fobidden by their parents to take their shoes off in a mosque. A trip to the Islamic house of prayer in Kampen was scrapped at the last minute." "...By taking off their shoes the children will be makeing an undesirable show of honor towards another religion..." "...In the religion lessons the havo/vvo students in the third class of the Dutch reformed school (religious) was given a series of lesson on Islam for the first time. The religion teachers received phone calls from concerned parents after they had gotten wind of the mosque visit. But the protest really flared when Dominee Kempeneers of the Christian Reformed Church from Elsburg spoke about it during the cathechism. He called the taking off of shoes " kneeling to the Muslim religion'. Director Vogelaar puts the church in Elberg at the most right flank of the reformed church..."

Nikakve veze nema sa Islamom, već poštovanjem prema drugima, ali dobro, nije svaka "crkva" takva!!
