Armik (born Armik Dashchi[1]) is an Iranian-Armenian flamenco guitarist and composer[2]. In 2004, 2005 and 2006, he was listed on Billboard Magazine's Top Ten New Age Artists. His releases have also "consistently reached Top Ten positions on Billboard's charts of top-selling new age music."[3]

In a recent interview with an Iranian magazine, he stated that he cites folk music and piano-pop bands and musicians such as Francesco Guccini and Farhad as his major musical influence. However, he also added that heavy metal and hard rock bands such as Sadus, Slayer, Megadeth and Alter Bridge have also largely contributed to his musical style.
