Engleski rock (dark) bend formiran 1976 god.Članovi benda su: Ian Curtis , Bernard Sumner ,Peter Hook i Stephen Morris. Ian Curtis je pjevač(najvažniji član benda) ,tj. on čini grupu mračnom,mističnom,samorazarajućom.Jedna od najdepresivnijih pjesama je She`s Lost Control .Da li je zaista pjevao o izgubljenoj eplieptičarki koja svaki dan na berzi bezuspješno traži posao, ili je pjevao o sebi? Originalni ples,za koji se nekad nije znalo da li pleše ili ima napad epilepsije. Njegove predivne velike plave oči pune očaja,tuge,gorčine,neshvaćenosti i tajanstvenosti . Muzika koja čovjeka ne ostavlja ravnodušna. Kroz pjesme se može osjetiti koliko je patio,borio se sa samim sobom,u ovom surovom svijetu jednostavno da preživi.Bolest ga je na žalost prožrela u jednom zalogaju.Imao je samo 23 godine kada se ubio. Zanima me,da li još neko sluša Joy Division?

je li ko gledao film Control(radjen po knjizi Ianove zenne),radi se o Ianu Curtisu?

za aqualung: izgleda da svaka generacija otkriva bendove cije svjetlo nikad ne tamni, a JD su mozda i najsjajniji jer nikad nisu postali toliko poznati i jos manje komercijalni...poslusaj i New Order koji su nastavili nakon Ianove smrti pod novim imenom, pa onda Wire, pa Bauhaus, Killing Joke, The Stranglers, Television, XTC, Gang Of Four....ako naletis igdje nadji i na prevod Ian-ovih tekstova (u stvari cista poezija) "Svetla u podrumu duse", mislim da je to objavila tadasnja Niska studentska knjizara...imas i dans bendova koji se ne stide da zvuce k'o JD, a zvuce jako dobro i originalno, prije svih Interpol, White Lies....eto, javi ako ti se sta svidi...pozz uz transmission

da li je neko cuo za bend "White Lies"? Za njih se kaze da su novi Joy Division... nisu losi, i ako nemislim da se bas daju uporediti

Da da, bend je skroz drukčiji od ostalih ponuđenih,previše iskren.Naročito mi se sviđa Ianov ples i inače čitava atmosfera mi je briljantna. Od prvog slušanja me Ian fascinirao. Imam prijevod od dvije-tri pjesme. New Order je solidan.Nisam ih nešto previše preslušala,par pjesama. Valjda zbog sve te pažnje poklonjene Joy Divisionu , nije mi bilo baš interesantno slušati i istraživati New Order, jer ipak je Ian činio Joy Division i tu ekipu. Što se tiče tih bendova koje ste nabrojali, Bauhaus mi je jedan od najdražih bendova. Sami počeci darka. Killing Joke sam slušala,fenomenalan je. Ove ostale bendove ću svakako istražiti,hvala na savjetu.

za Aqualung: pazi, New Order su postali institucija za sebe, nesto iz cega je izasla citava britanska kasnija house, techno i klupska scena (poslusaj Blue Monday i samo ce ti se kasti ), sto se tice muzike meni je to najdrazi bend uz Cocteau Twins i Dead Can Dance (plus one kompilacije obrada pod imenom This Mortal Coil)....a kroz sve se provlaci Ian i ta atmosfera koja te privukla...na kraju, dok slusas New Order obrati paznju na basistu - tek tu je dosao do izrazaja....pozz, jashar

Hoću,poslušat ću. Dobar je inače New Order,ali nisam bila baš puno posvetila pažnje tom bendu,ima tona muzike pa mi nije palo napamet,ali sad ću ga baš istražiti jer svi govore da je odličan. A to Blue Monday sam čula od Billie Holiday,pretpostavljam da je i od njih odlično. Dead Can Dance,uh pravo dobar alternativan bend.

Aqualung, ako ti se svidjaju "Dead can dance",onda bi ti se mozda mogli svidjeti "Luar na lubre" npr album
Cabo do mundo, zvukom su donekle slicni, oni su iz Galicije, gdje su se sacuvale keltske tradicije,ali nije new age
pomodarstvo. Imaju svjez zvuk i prijatni su za slusanje kao i "Dead can dance".

A sto se tice Joy division, nisam ih cuo od kraja 70-tih, sjecam se da su na albumu Closer koristili mellotron,
to je instrument koji je pomocu magnetofonskih traka reprodukovao zvukove akusticnih instrumenata, npr violina itd.
On daje onaj donekle "avetinjski" ili gotski zvuk violina koji je koristen od grupa iz 60-tih i 70-tih.
Prvi su ga koristili Beatles na pjesmi "Strawberry fields forever", zvuk blok flauta u uvodu pjesme, zatim Moody blues,
pjesma Night in white satin, zvuk violina, i maestralno koristenje mellotrona od strane grupe King crimson na
albumu iz 69-te "In the court of Crimson king"
Krajem 70-tih taj zvuk je vec bio "prevazidjen" izasao iz mode razvojem sintisajzera, tako kad su ga Joy division
koristili zvucao je bas arhaicno i depresivno sto su oni naravno i htjeli da bi stvorili tragicnu atmosferu u cemu su i
uspjeli.
Evo bas cu da skinem ponovo Closer, radoznao sam kako ce zvucati poslije toliko godina

sve sama krema i elita ovi nabrojani
dodao bih jos The Cure (posebno prva 3 albuma),Siouxie and the banshees,Sisters of mercy (i njihove nasljednike Mission UK),christian death.
Ali ipak su Joy Division i Bauhaus za koplje iznad ostalih...od novijih Interpol je vrlo dobar.
