“ Project Coordinator for a Tourism Resource Center”
Caritas BKBH together with Caritas Belgium, are currently looking for a Project coordinator for the opening of a “Resource center in Rural tourism in Bih”.
The role of this centre will be to:
- Create a specialized network in this sector by organizing events and creating communication tools.
- Advocate, Collect and disseminate information about rural tourism.
- Contribute to the “professionalization” of the sector by organizing technical workshops and trainings for entrepreneurs and providing info about the market and its trends.
Main Tasks and duties:
The person will have two main tasks:
1. To set up the resource centre
2. To be in charge of the “tourism component” of a development project implemented in Fojnica.
He/she is assisted by an administrator, who will be under his/her responsibility.
- Organization of all activities included in the Project Logical Framework. The person solves all kind of problems (logistical, administrative etc…) related to the implementation of the actions. The person will also be asked for an active participation for the conception of activities.
- Ensures visits on the field. (Mainly in Central Bosnia canton).
- Organizes meetings for the project management: monthly committees gathering main stakeholders, the quarterly pilot committees and other.
- Responsible for the project communication and visibility.
- He/she maintains contact and liaison between all stakeholders and is in relation with the partners, local institutions, beneficiaries.
- Drafts narrative reports.
Required experience and skills:
- Superior degree (University Degree, preferably with a Master's Degree) in Socio-economical studies, tourism, agronomy or management.
- Have at least 3 years experience ideally in project management or tourism.
- Have a fluent English (spoken and written), French is an asset.
- Excellent Computer skills (esp. MS Office applications)
- A good knowledge of the project cycle management. Skills and hands-on experience in Project/Programme management, monitoring, and review.
- Strong analytical and planning skills, focusing on results
- Communication skills.
- Driving licence.
Personality Requirements:
- Reliable, dynamic and autonomous with a strong sense of initiative
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in team.
- Flexibility and ready to travel in Bosnia, within the region and abroad.
Conditions:
- 1 year renewable with 3 months trial period.
- Salary is 500 Euros to 700 Euros / month according to experience + social coverage.
- Job is based in Sarajevo with frequent travels in Bosnia Central Canton.
