Animal welfare: closing the gap between law and reality
[15/11/2006 09:30:00] An international workshop, to be organised at the Council of Europe on 23-24 November, will examine how current laws and standards on animal welfare across Europe are carried out. Co-organised by the World Organisation for Animal Health, the European Commission and the Council of Europe’s Animal Welfare Unit, the workshop will study the most comprehensive survey so far on the subject, including the participation of most all Eastern European and Balkan countries, from Russia to Croatia.
