Nizvodno od Tishrin brane je ogromna akumulacija, "Lake Assad".
Dok Tishrin brana zadrzava cini mi se 1,3 km kubnih vode, ta akumulacija nizvodno drzi preko 11. Naravno da je nemoguce predvidjeti sta bi se desilo al' eto samo da napomenem da i nizvodno ima veca i jaca brana. Ako bi vec ona bila ugrozena, sranje.

Vincent Emanuele is a former US marine of two tours to Iraq

Iraq war veteran Vincent Emanuele says US policies in the Arab country have helped create the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group, which is now wreaking havoc in the Middle East.

In a recent article posted on TeleSUR’s English website, former Marine Emanuele, who fought during the US-led war against Iraq, acknowledged the part he and his fellow troops played in the creation of the Takfiri group.

“When I was stationed in Iraq with the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, 2003-2005, I didn’t know what the repercussions of the war would be, but I knew there would be a reckoning,” he wrote.

“That retribution, otherwise known as blowback, is currently being experienced around the world (Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, France, Tunisia, California, and so on), with no end in sight,” he added.

In an interview with Russia Today (RT) on Tuesday, Emanuele said the creation of ISIL is the result of the conditions the US strategy caused during the Iraq war.

Emanuele spoke of atrocities by US marines against Iraqi civilians during the war. “I saw my fellow marines kill innocent people, torture innocent civilians, destroying property, mutilating dead bodies, running over dead corpses, laughing and photographing people while doing so.”

“For me it was very simple. I sat there in Iraq and I asked myself ‘How would I behave?’ ‘What would I think if I was in the shoes of the Iraqi people?’”

He said many US soldiers would pelt Iraqi children with bottles full of urine, and tortured Iraqi prisoners. The American veteran believes the Iraq war was part of a long history of the US aggression.

“I vividly remember the marines telling me about punching, slapping, kicking, elbowing, kneeing and head-butting Iraqis. I remember the tales of sexual torture; forcing Iraqi men to perform sexual acts on each other while marines held knives against their testicles, sometimes sodomizing them with batons,” Emanuele wrote in his TeleSUR article.

Daesh terrorists, who had been trained by the CIA and funded by the US allies in the Middle East to topple the Syrian government, currently control parts of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Izadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq and Syria.
