Inace, u Iranu si slobodan citati bilo cija djela. Imaju izuzetno bogat bibliotekarski fond. Cak i u Komu, Univerzitetskom centru siitske pravne skole, u univerzitetskoj biblioteci, mozes pronaci djela najistaknutijih i najradikalnijih vehabijskih "ucenjaka", te ih slobodno posuditi i izucavati u javnosti, bez ikakvih problema.

Rouhani orders dispatch of Women’s Futsal Team to World Cup

Image

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani in a special directive on Saturday has ordered the dispatch of Iranian Women’s National Futsal Team to 2015 Futsal World Cup in Guatemala.

The order comes after an earlier statement by Iran’s Football Federation saying that the Iranian Women’s team may be unable to compete in the 2015 Futsal World Cup due to financial problems and visa complications.

Iranian sports media reported earlier that Asia’s top team will unfortunately not be competing in the World Cup due to “the lack of adequate and timely administrative coordination”.

The head of the Iran’s Football Federation Ali Kafashian said last week that Guatemala does not have a consulate in Iran, and the team would have to get visas to go to Germany, where they could apply for the Guatemalan visas.

He said their efforts to minimize the process and secure the funds for the trips have unfortunately failed, and the team will not be able to participate in the world tournament.

The women’s team did not take part in the futsal cup games hosted by Colombia for similar reasons.

In September this year, Iranian women’s national futsal team beat Japan 1-0 to win the AFC Women’s Futsal Championship in Malaysia.

Za ljubitelje ranog skijanja i snow-boardanja :)

Tochal Ski International Resort opened (21.11.2015)
Image
The Tochal International Ski Resort in northern Tehran opened on Thursday for the autumn-winter season at a ceremony attended by Mahmoud Goudarzi, minister of youth affairs and sports, and other officials.

Managing director of the resort Seyed Mohammad Parhizkar said there are plans to expand the resort so that “it turns into Iran’s biggest and longest ski resort by next year,” reports Mehr News Agency.

A popular entertainment section at the Tochal Complex is the Tochal Telecabin which is among the world’s longest gondola lift lines with a length of 7,500 meters. It takes less than an hour to go from Station 1 to 7, the last station, by cable car. The first station includes a hotel, restaurants and sports clubs for tennis, archery, bungee jumping, skating and paintball.

The gondola lift is used for accessing ski slopes and recreational centers on the resort mountain. Beautiful landscapes, fresh air and a multitude of fresh water springs add to the beauty of the area.

There is a separate chairlift and a separate surface lift (teleski) line at the resort, for transferring skiers to the mountain slopes.

The resort is open to the public since 1978. It starts at the Velenjak valley in the north of Tehran at an altitude of 1,900 meters and ends at the last station at an altitude of 3,740 meters, near the main ridge of Mount Tochal. The main peak is a 30-minute walk from the last station.

Because of the height of the ski slope in Station 7 (more than 3,500 meters above sea level), it is covered with snow for more than 8 months of the year.

Iran: Best Skiing Opportunity in the Middle East

Iran is quite a different country in the region when it comes to the possibilities of skiing in The Middle East! There are lots of huge mountains with high peaks and appropriate slopes for different types of skiing.

As a result, ski resorts have been built for the skiers who love this sport. This type of terrain makes Iran a unique location for the people interested in skiing in the Middle East.

Ski Resorts in Iran

Shemshak and Darbandsar are such places for ski.

The highest peak of Iran is Damavand with 5671 m above sea level. It’s located at the North East of Iran on the Alborz range and can be seen from inside Tehran in Sunny days. You will find snow on top of this burned-out volcano almost all year round. Along the same mountain range and close to Tehran, there are possibilities of skiing at different ski runs.

Dizin, Tochal, Shemshak and Darbandsar are such places for Iranians as well as foreign enthusiasts.

Dizin Ski Resort

If you’re looking for a unique possibility of skiing in Middle East or you’re living in a neighboring country, why don’t you consider going to Dizin? It’s the largest skiing field in the region. This resort is in a fantastic geographic location, near Tehran. So, you can drive directly from the International airport to Dizin and get there in a couple of hours.

One of the advantages of Dizin skiing pist is that it has different ski runs, for beginners and professional skiers, so that you can ski in different styles one after another. The ski lift will take you to an altitude of 3600 m above sea level, making it one of the top 40 high ski resorts in the world. There are several villas, hotels, cottages, restaurants, etc at Dizin.

Shemshak Ski Resort

Shemshak is a ski resort situated to the north-east of Tehran in the Alborz mountain range.

Shemshak is the second largest ski area in Iran after Dizin and came into operation in 1958. It includes two ski lifts, three dish teleskis and two Hammer teleskis. The slopes lie at an altitude of 2550m to 3050m above sea level. The resort includes two main slopes each with a chair lift that apex at the top and several lifts. There are also lighting facilities for night skiing.

Shemshak has classically catered to more advanced skiers while Dizin has drawn beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers. The slopes are quite steep and many of the runs are mogul runs.

Shemshak is conveniently situated just about 55 minutes drive from Tehran, 10 km from middle-slope parking of Dizin and 5 km from Darband-Sar ski resort. two of the best residential complex in Shemshak is ASP build before the revolution and Sepahan residence complex finished end of 2012 in front of the gazoil pist.

Tochal Ski Resort

Tochal peak is right on the north of Tehran. It’s at an altitude of 3964 m above sea level and at a perfect condition for those who love skiing in Middle East. Access to the location is possible by cable car that starts from the north of Velenjak district in Tehran.

A modern hotel has recently been constructed up at the peak for the skiers so that they can stay in a well-equipped accommodation. You can combine Tochal with Dizin during your stay in Tehran so that you can ski at both places. Also, you can keep it at your list as an alternative for the second time you go skiing in Iran.

Other Ski Resorts in Iran

Alvares is the second standard ski resort in Iran after Dizin. Its altitude is 3200 m above sea level and located 24 km away from Sarein, near Ardebil. At Dizin, you can ski from December to May, longer than the resorts in Europe.

You can also opt for skiing in other parts of Iran like Mt. Alvand in Hamedan, Mt.Zardkooh near Shahr-e-Kord, Mt.Dena, etc where local ski resorts are available too.

Ski Gears for Winter Sports

It’s up to you to bring your ski gears or rent them here in Iran. Usually close to the ski pists, you can find some stalls where you could rent all types of ski equipments and ski-wears like Alpine skis snowboards, monoboards, cross-country skis, etc.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can find them at any corner of Iran where people go skiing. On the other hand, you may feel better at your own gears. So, brings yours if you feel better. At major ski resorts like Dizin and Tochal, you would usually be able to find what you want to rent.

More important fact is, if you’re living in the region, Iran has got the best resorts as far as skiing in Middle East is concerned.

Wild Skiing in the Middle East

Mountains in Iran have got huge potential for the fans of skiing in nature. There are several peaks higher than 3000 meters on Zagros Mountains, Alborz mountains as well as other local mountain ranges. You can contact some local tour operator to make sure required services like accommodation, transfer, equipments, etc are provided prior to your trip to Iran.

Many professional skiers come to Iran from all around the world to go wild skiing. If the season is right and you arrange for everything before your arrival via a local company, you will enjoy doing this sport here. Iran offers the best opportunity for skiing in Middle East. Nowhere else all these factors are available to plan and travel for the purpose of skiing.

Iran becomes Turkey’s new rival in tourism, Turkish newspaper reports
on November 24, 2015

Image

In an article released on Tuesday, Turkish newspaper Hurriyet has named Iran as Turkey’s new rival in Tourism in the region.

In this article we read:

“Turkey has been growing in tourism at two-digit figures every year for the past 25 years, but it is expected to complete 2015 with $5 billion in losses because of the Syrian crisis and economic fluctuations in Russia.

According to experts, if you also add the hottest topic in the world, terror, into the equation, then question marks about tourism in 2016 are increasing. As a matter of fact, in the security section of the Tourism Competition Index of the World Economic Forum, Turkey ranks 121 among 142 countries.

While tourism executives are trying to reach new markets like China, India and South Africa, it also appears that Turkey will have to compete with a new rival in the region.

That new rival is Iran, which is in the process of normalization with the West.

The CEO of the Ekin Group, Fehmi Köfteoğlu, said they would especially focus on Iran in a report they will submit to the tourism congress.

Iran was also the star of the World Travel Fair in London held at the beginning of November, he said. “Iran’s stand at the fair was five to six times bigger when compared to past years.”

There is a special section dedicated to Iran in the global trends in tourism report prepared by the World Travel Market and Euromonitor International.

Along with the historic and cultural heritage accumulated through the centuries, Iran is expected to become an important destination in faith tourism as well as adventure tourism thanks to its 20 ski centers. However, because of its years of isolation and sanctions, its infrastructure has long been neglected.

But Köfteoğlu said tourism investments would pour into Iran as the country becomes a favorite of foreign travel agencies. As part of new steps taken for tourism, the Iranian government has introduced a visa-on-arrival system for foreigners such as Germans, French and Russians. “
