IBRAHIMOVIC: "INTER, MY TEAM AS A BOY"
Thursday, 10 August 2006 17:29:56
[FOTO Thursday, 10 August 2006 17:29:56] APPIANO GENTILE - After signing a four-year contract with Inter, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was unveiled to the press this afternoon in a news conference at Angelo Moratti Sports Centre. The Swedish striker of Bosnian-Croat origins was presented by Inter's transfer market men Marco Branca and Gabriele Oriali.
Part one of Ibrahimovic's presentation news conference:
It seemed like you were about to join Milan, but today you signed for Inter.
"I am very happy that it has all gone well. Thanks to Marco (Branca), Lele (Oriali) and Dr Moratti. He's not just a good patron, he is also an exceptional person. When I heard of Inter's interest in me I was very happy because it is the team I supported as a boy."
We see you smiling at last. It hasn't been a good period for you lately.
"Yes, I am very happy. I have joined a team that is very strong now so I am very happy. My future is here now, and I feel confident with the trainer because he was a fantastic player. This is the perfect environment to play football."
You have the great ability to set up goals for colleagues. Do you feel like a second striker? Who is your ideal strike partner?
"I don't know. There are six strikers here and they are all very good. I don't know which one is most suited to playing with me. I have come to Inter to win."
IBRAHIMOVIC: "WE CAN WIN EVERYTHING"

[FOTO Thursday, 10 August 2006 18:19:08] APPIANO GENTILE - Part three of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's presentation news conference:
Why did you choose to stay in Italy and not move to England or Spain?
"In Italy everyone loves football. It is an honour to play at the San Siro. I think Inter is one of the best clubs in the world. I know there will be pressure, but this won't stop us, and we will win."
Your ex-president Cobolli Gigli said that staying in Turin would have been a big test of maturity for you, also as a man. Do you want to reply?
"I don't know. I feel like a man in any case."
You said that there will be competition in attack at Inter. Have you considered the possibility of being on the bench?
"The season is long, there are six strikers and we are all very strong. I am a player, it is my job to play. The coach will decide who plays."
Freddie Ljungberg has become captain of the Swedish national team. What do you think about this?
"I am very happy for him. He won't have any problems because he has always played at a high level."
Inter have bought a lot of good players in this summer transfer market, and you are the icing on the cake. Do you think Inter can compete with the top teams in Europe?
"I think Inter are as good as Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona. We can win everything."

we are the champions my friend...

E moj Ušanoviću, Pašaliću, Pušino i kompanijo "zlatna" ostaste bez "Zlatana"
