One of the funny things about this song was one of the touch tone dialing sounds in the song gave away an klix unlisted "insider" phone number for the company the song was referring to in real life, CBS Records in NYC (area code 212). A lot of people figured out the number from the tones and bombarded the non-public CBS line with calls. The other touch tone number in the song was for the White House switchboard in DC (area code 202).
Also, many listeners assumed it was actually Wolfman Jack on the record, but the voice was done by a DJ named Ken Griffin. It was a very good imitation that fooled a lot of people.
