The Russian President Vladimir Putin held three meetings with the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad: One public meeting; Another meeting around the dining table; A third private meeting that was the essence of the visit.
Sources close to the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told me “important decisions were taken on regional level, the military needs of the Syrian army to eliminate terrorism, and a serious message Russia is sending to the countries involved in supporting insurgents and terrorists in the Levant. ”
According to the source “President Putin offered himself as the guarantor to fight and defeat terrorism in Syria as a first priority. It was also agreed between the two Presidents that the political process is a necessity after the elimination of more than twenty to thirty thousand foreign fighting in the ranks of the “Islamic State” group (ISIS) and al-Qaeda in the Levant (Jabhat Al-Nusra Front). Mr. Assad expressed to Mr. Putin his readiness to engage in a political process and reform the existing law, giving guarantees and powers to those within the Syrian opposition but without any link to Salafi – jihadist, including those who are participating and currently engaged in the war in Syria”.
” The early departure of President Assad is not conceivable for both Russia and Syria. Neither side has mentioned this topic. Nonetheless, the Syrian President expressed to his counterpart his readiness for an early election to ensure a place for all, after proposing an amendment of the Constitution. By then, all Syrian armed organisations, which have disengaged from al Qaeda and ISIS, have returned under the roof of the Syrian state with the guarantee of Russia. Mr. Putin will present this offer to the regional countries engaged in financing the war in Syria, knowingly that Russia will continue supporting the ongoing military campaign to put an end to the control of the rural areas of Latakia, Aleppo, Hama, Idlib and Daraa”, confirmed the source.
The source continue: “Assad stressed that the axes of ongoing combat does not need Russian ground troops on the battlefield because the Syrian army is growing due to the recovered confidence triggered by the Russian intervention. No need to mention the support of regional allies (Iran, Hezbollah, Iraqi militia and others) who are fighting side by side with the Syrian Army to eliminate the extremists. Mr. Assad requested an increase of air support and to supply the Syrian army with tanks needed and other military equipment. Mr. Putin gave orders to his Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu to immediately increase the air strikes and air jets in Syria, supply the Syrian army with new vehicles replacing the old ones, new Tanks T-72, new electronic devices to monitor all projectiles provenance and to re-build a strong Syrian army to regain main cities and strategic villages. It was also discussed that the Russian Air Force and Intelligence unit will support the ground combat operations to end the military campaign within a duration and time frame agreed between the two parties. ”
“Mr. Putin is aware of every detail of the situation in Syria and the strength and the equipment provided to the Syrian rebels. He explained that Russia has used intercontinental cruise missiles to show to all players with proxies fighting on the ground in Syria its determination to target any regional country providing extremists with anti-air missiles (MANPADs) that can damage or shoot down any Russian jet. Any country that supports terrorists exposing Russian jets at risk would be a legitimate target to Russia. War is one of the tools that serve the political track and that the struggle between Iran and Saudi Arabia and between the United States and Russia conflict are based on competing interests and influence in the region. Russia is revising its strategy and Foreign policy to orbit around promoting its external national security. Moscow’s role in the World is today equal to what it was Washington’s role in its height and not what it has become today. The United States’ foreign policy and involvement is in a significant decline “, said the source.
By receiving his Syrian counterpart, the Russian President showed his undoubted support to Mr. Assad, welcoming him warmly. But above all, Mr. Putin gave himself an international legitimacy for the presence and enlargement of the Russian troops on the Syrian territory within the frame of the international laws.

They also destroyed 1 bulldozer at Al Qarasi, 1 Gun 23 at Ibtin front, 1 Gun 23 and 1 amunition carrier at Sabiqiya;
Regime forces losses are reproted to be important among them one officer at Khan Toman front despite the intense russian air attacks on the front lines.

Russia, Jordan agree on military coordination on Syria
MOSCOW
Russia and Jordan have agreed to coordinate their military actions on Syria by setting up a "special working mechanism" in the Jordanian capital Amman, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday.
Russia, which is bombing rebel targets in Syria in support of its ally President Bashar al-Assad, has already forged close cooperation with the governments of Iraq, Syria and Iran, which are all part of a loose Shi'ite alliance pursuing different aims from those of the United States and its allies.
Jordan, however, is Sunni-dominated and closely aligned with Washington, so Moscow's deal with Jordan could mark a shift in the alliances engaged in the Syria conflict.
"The military of the two countries have agreed to coordinate their actions through a working mechanism in Amman, capital of Jordan," Lavrov said in comments broadcast by Rossiya-24 television channel.
"We think that other states that participate in the anti- terrorist fight can join this mechanism as well," Lavrov added.
Lavrov, who gave no further details, was speaking in Vienna, where he was attending talks with senior officials from the United States, Turkey and Saudi Arabia to explore a political solution to Syria's civil war.
Russia has rejected Western calls for Assad to step down, saying Syria's leadership can only be decided by the Syrian people via elections, and in the clearest sign of its backing, Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted him in Moscow this week.
