Celtic track Bosnia midfielder Stilic
Celtic are lining up a £2.5m move for Semir Stilic, the Bosnian internationalist.
Stilic, who plays for Polish club Lech Poznan, has netted nine goals from midfield already this season and Celtic representatives have watched the 21-year-old twice already, including last weekend's win against Polonia Warsaw.
Stilic has been capped twice by Bosnia this year after helping his club to third place in the Polish League. He moved to Poland from FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo a year ago and has established himself as one of the most exciting attacking midfielders in the country.

Celtic face competition, as Miro Jaganjac, Stilic's agent, explained. "There are a couple of clubs in England who have shown interest in him, too," he said. "I know Celtic have had him watched a couple of times and are showing interest but it is up to Lech Poznan whether they want to sell him or not. I do know they turned down a bid of 2.5m earlier this season for him."
Gordon Strachan is keen to add to his midfield options because of the possibility of losing Shunsuke Nakamura in the next transfer window. Stilic is under contract until 2012 and Celtic would need to try and get a work permit for the player.
Meanwhile, Martin Canning, the Hamilton defender, has admitted he is sick of the sight of the Parkhead side after being red-carded for the second time in only three appearances against the club.
The 26-year-old was sent off in Hamilton's 2-1 defeat to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League champions on Sunday after pulling down Cillian Sheridan on the edge of the box. Canning has revealed he was almost off the park before he realised Steve Conroy, the referee, had awarded a penalty, so sure was he the foul had taken place outside the box.
"I knew it shouldn't have been a penalty because it happened outside the box. It wasn't until I was about off the park when I saw the bench wasn't too happy that I knew he had given a penalty.
"I've played against Celtic three times now and I've been sent off twice. In fact, I've been sent off three times in my career and twice against Celtic."
