Oldschool majstor gospodin

Andrew Weatherall (born 6 April 1963, Windsor, England) is a DJ, producer, and remixer.

Andrew, Terry Farley, Cymon Eckel and Steve Mayes started Boy's Own initially as a fanzine commenting on fashion, records, football, and other issues. Andrew was also a freelance music journalist (using both his own name and the pseudonym "Audrey Witherspoon").

Andrew's DJ career really started to take off when he met Danny Rampling at skater Bobby's party that he played at in Chapel Market, Islington, and Danny invited him to play at his club night Shoom. Terry and Andrew became regular Shoom DJ's, playing the upstairs room there, and also at Paul Oakenfold's Future / Spectrum nights and Nicky Holloway's Trip. They also did their own parties and started a record label under the name of Boys Own Recordings. Along with Pete Heller (who was also a Shoom DJ), engineer Hugo Nicholson and singer Anna Haigh, they released two singles as Bocca Juniors on the label, "Raise (53 Steps to Heaven)" and "Substance".

Weatherall's first studio work was alongside Paul Oakenfold on the club remix of Hallelujah for the Happy Mondays. Other remixes followed, notably "World in Motion" for New Order, "Loaded", a hit remix of Primal Scream's earlier track "I'm Losing More Than I'll Ever Have", and the widely acclaimed 'A Mix of Two Halves' version of Saint Etienne's "Only Love Can Break Your Heart".

In 1992, Andrew left Boys Own, which changed its name to Junior Boy's Own. He formed the electronic music trio The Sabres of Paradise in 1993, starting a record label under the same name and promoting Sabresonic club nights at the Happy Jacks nightclub. In early 1996, after shutting down Sabresonic, Weatherall and Keith Tenniswood became Two Lone Swordsmen, signing to the Warp Records label. They also started 3 labels under the Emissions umbrella (Emissions Echoic, LoFi & Static), which combined to become Emissions Audio Output and started the Bloodsugar night. After this disbanded, they set up the Rotters Golf Club label for their own dancefloor-orientated work, and also recorded on Warp.

He has produced such artists as Beth Orton, Primal Scream and One Dove, and has remixed the work of Björk, Siouxsie Sioux, The Orb, The Future Sound of London, New Order, Manic Street Preachers, My Bloody Valentine, James and many others. Most recently he produced the album Tarot Sport for Fuck Buttons.

In late 2006, he released his debut solo single "The Bullet Catcher's Apprentice", followed by his debut solo album "A Pox On The Pioneers" in 2009. Both were released on his Rotters Golf Club imprint.

In late 2007, a song by Weatherall entitled "Feathers" was used in an advert for the Volkswagen Tiguan, and in 2009 the Two Lone Swordsmen track "Shack 54" was used on a new version of a previous year's Ford Fiesta advert.

Pa ljudi, ima li šta ovih zadnjih dana SFF-a?

Na netu sam našao nekakve informacije da na Vilsu imaju kao nekakvi partyiji, je li to točno? Ima tko informacije za druga mjesta? Amfitetar Doma mladih? Itd.

U kojem mjestu u Zenici? Inače,koliko često u Zenici imaju techno i slični partyiji?? Blizu mi, a nikad ne idem.

Sto se tice partija u Ze, slabo da ko dodje od nekih poznatih, vecinom je to nasa raja Fedja Knadjl, G. Edd i raja iz komsiluka. Hm moglo bi se na ovo otići. Ma taj kvazišminkeraj tipa Beasmenta me ne zanima pretjerano, radije bih na neki minimalac ili progresiju da oslobodim duhove.

Ako u Zenici barem jednom mjesečno ima takva partiya onda super, samo da uhvatim informacije.
