Advanced Linux Programming

detaljnije:
Advanced Linux Programming is divided into two parts. The first covers generic UNIX system services, but with a particular eye towards Linux specific information. This portion of the book will be of use even to advanced programmers who have worked with other Linux systems since it will cover Linux specific details and differences. For programmers without UNIX experience, it will be even more valuable.The second section covers material that is entirely Linux specific. These are truly advanced topics, and are the techniques that the gurus use to build great applications. While this book will focus mostly on the Application Programming Interface (API) provided by the Linux kernel and the C library, a preliminary introduction to the development tools available will allow all who purchase the book to make immediate use of Linux

http://www.free-guitar-lesson.com/songs/vol/Vol3.zip
http://www.free-guitar-lesson.com/songs/vol/Vol4.zip

detaljnije:
1/Each volume (~34MB) includes these same 3 ebooks:
- How To Read Guitar Note Tabs.pdf
- Lesson (Guitar Secrets Revealed).pdf
- How To Start Your Own Band.pdf

2/The lessons are in .exe formats. Just double click them separately, or view the whole volume by reading the page "Volume1.htm", "Volume2.htm" etc

3/As to why they don't show you the whole solo but only sections of it, here's a quote by the author:

"Some customers have asked us why the complete and entire leads are not included for some songs.

ANSWER: The main reason is that I wrote this course to give you what I consider to be the 'BEST' and 'MOST EFFECTIVE' sections of each song. In some cases there are songs which include the solo, riffs and licks. In others, just one riff or lick might be all that is important in the song. In addition, there may be very difficult passages in a song that will be left for future volumes of higher difficulty level. Here, in this course, you will find the most important segments of tunes directed towards those players of beginning and intermediate skill playing capabilities. (Notice that there are no solos by Eric Johnson, Van Halen, George Benson or Frank Gambale. These are master lead soloists whose leads are attempted only by the very accomplished soloist.) BUT, to open the door to these masters, you must walk through the Rock and Roll lead portal I have designed here for you. I congratulate you for taking advantage of these solos by Santana, Clapton, Page, Hendrix and the other Rock & Roll greats included in these 4 volumes."

Borsellino Lewis Trading ES and NQ Futures Course

detaljnije:
PART 1- The Mental Game. Most traders believe that correct trading patterns or setups are the ultimate key to success. Lewis strongly disagrees! Knowing yourself first is more important. In Part 1, Lewis will teach you how to identify the proper trading style that is best suited to your personality and how to take advantage of your innate style to gain insight into your trading and improve your results. You will then learn how to use this knowledge and apply it in the upcoming weeks' lessons.

PART 2- The Trend. One of the toughest things traders encounter is how to identify if today is a trend day or a range-bound day. Knowing how to trade in these two very different environments is a major key to most professionals' success. In Part 2, Lewis will show you how he identifies these two distinct trading environments and how you can exploit characteristics of each.
PART 3- Executing - Part I. Building upon the first two weeks' lessons, in Part 3 you will learn where to enter, when to exit, and where to place your stops in the S&P and Nasdaq 100 futures. You will also be taught when and how to scale into and scale out of a position, and how to properly evaluate the risks vs. rewards before entering a position.

PART 4- Executing - Part II. In Part 4, Lewis will teach you how to read daily and intraday charts, how to exactly pinpoint support and resistance areas, and how to trade pivots and breakouts. Also, as an added bonus, Lewis will show you how to determine a "false breakout" vs. "the real thing." Not only will you be able to apply this knowledge to stock index futures trading, but you will also be able to apply it to other major markets as well. Finally, at the end of this lesson, you will learn how to trade economic events, including the release of significant reports such as PPI, CPI, and key employment reports.
PART 5- Executing - Part III. In Part 5, Lewis will share with you how he uses stocks to foretell the futures markets and how he uses futures to foretell the movement of key stocks. Also, Lewis will teach you the best momentum and sentiment indicators he uses to enter and exit the markets.

PART 6- Trading The Nasdaq 100. A special focus on the Nasdaq 100 futures market. You will learn how this volatile index differs from the other stock index futures and specific strategies for trading it.

PART 7- Direct Access. In an effort to make sure you fully understand the material you've been presented, Lewis will answer any and all of your questions. Please submit these questions to [email protected] and a special web page will be posted during Part 7 with Lewis' replies to your inquiries.

Maximum Energy for Life: A 21-Day Strategic Plan to Feel Great, Reverse the Aging Process, and Optimize Your Health

* Master the Art of Stress Management
* Reduce Your Body Fat
* Optimize Your Performance at Work
* Recharge Your Passion For Life

Praise For Mackie Shilstone’s MAXIMUM ENERGY FOR LIFE

"No matter how successful you are, the one thing you can’t buy is your health. But as I did, you can put the expertise and cutting-edge knowledge of Mackie Shilstone to work for you. This book represents a strategic management plan . . . the ultimate book for helping you to identify where you want to go and how best to achieve your performance goals. The performance management plan he offers in this book is truly a road map to success that you will want to use for the rest of your life."
–from the foreword by Steve Wynn, business legend

"Mackie’s program that he shares with readers for the first time in Maximum Energy for Life significantly prolonged my baseball career and enhanced the quality of my life. In fact, it helped me reach the Baseball Hall of Fame."
– Ozzie Smith, retired all-star shortstop for the St. Louis Cardinals,
2002 Hall of Fame Inductee

"I was at the peak of my career as a medical doctor and had no idea that life had anything more in store for me. Then I met Mackie. After learning to think the way Mackie thinks, I had reserve energy and creativity that had previously been hidden, and I am happier and more optimistic. I have referred patients to Mackie, some of whom were too discouraged to try again to lose weight and get in shape. With his help, these patients got healthier, thinner, and more energetic–and their quality of life improved."

Mining Google Web Services Building Applications (4MB, rar)

detaljnije:
Virtually everyone sees Google as, hands down, the best online search tool. Now you can use and improve on Google technology in your own applications.

Mining Google Web Services teaches you dozens of techniques for tapping the power of the Google API. Google already gives you fine-grained control over your search criteria, and this book shows you how to exert the same control in your own focused search and analysis applications. With just a little knowledge of JavaScript, VBA, Visual Studio 6, Visual Studio .NET, PHP, or Java, you will get better (and more relevant) search results—faster and more easily. Here's a little of what you'll find covered inside:

* Improving the speed and accuracy of searches
* Performing data mining across the Internet
* Using Google Web Services to search a single website
* Building search applications for mobile devices
* Using caching techniques to improve application performance and reliability
* Analyzing Google data
* Creating searches for users with special needs
* Discovering new uses for Google
* Obtaining historical data using cached pages
* Performing spelling checks on any text
* Reducing the number of false search hits

Port Numbers (0.3MB, pdf)

detaljnije:
The port numbers are divided into three ranges: the Well Known Ports,
the Registered Ports, and the Dynamic and/or Private Ports.

The Well Known Ports are those from 0 through 1023.

The Registered Ports are those from 1024 through 49151

The Dynamic and/or Private Ports are those from 49152 through 65535

************************************************************************
* PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: *
* *
* 1. UNASSIGNED PORT NUMBERS SHOULD NOT BE USED. THE IANA WILL ASSIGN *
* THE NUMBER FOR THE PORT AFTER YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN APPROVED. *
* *
* 2. ASSIGNMENT OF A PORT NUMBER DOES NOT IN ANY WAY IMPLY AN *
* ENDORSEMENT OF AN APPLICATION OR PRODUCT, AND THE FACT THAT NETWORK *
* TRAFFIC IS FLOWING TO OR FROM A REGISTERED PORT DOES NOT MEAN THAT *
* IT IS "GOOD" TRAFFIC. FIREWALL AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS SHOULD *
* CHOOSE HOW TO CONFIGURE THEIR SYSTEMS BASED ON THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF *
* THE TRAFFIC IN QUESTION, NOT WHETHER THERE IS A PORT NUMBER *
* REGISTERED OR NOT. *
************************************************************************

WELL KNOWN PORT NUMBERS

The Well Known Ports are assigned by the IANA and on most systems can
only be used by system (or root) processes or by programs executed by
privileged users.

Ports are used in the TCP [RFC793] to name the ends of logical
connections which carry long term conversations. For the purpose of
providing services to unknown callers, a service contact port is
defined. This list specifies the port used by the server process as
its contact port. The contact port is sometimes called the
"well-known port".

To the extent possible, these same port assignments are used with the
UDP [RFC768].

http://www.maugmasti.com/ebook/Addison Wesley - Exceptional C++.chm

detaljnije:
Aimed at the experienced C++ programmer, Herb Sutter's Exceptional C++ tests the reader's knowledge of advanced C++ language features and idioms with several dozen programming puzzles and explanations. This book can definitely help raise your C++ class design skills to the next level.

Based on the author's Guru of the Week Web column, this book poses a series of challenging questions on the inner workings of C++, centering around generic programming with the Standard Template Library (STL), exception handling, memory management, and class design. Even if you think you know C++ well, most of these problems will teach you something more about the language and how to write more robust classes that are "exception safe" (meaning they don't throw any handled exceptions or leak resources). Don't think this is just "language lawyering," though. The author's explanations stress sound programming principles (favoring simplicity) and idioms (such as the Pimpl idiom for class design that promotes faster compile times and better maintainability, or using "smart" auto_ptrs with STL.) Judging from the range and depth of these examples, Sutter's command of the inner workings of C++ is impressive, and he does an excellent job of conveying this expertise without jargon or a lot of theory.

After reading this book, C++ designers will learn several "best practices" of how to write robust, efficient classes that are "exception safe." Chances are you'll gain a better understanding of memory management techniques and working with STL too. For the experienced developer seeking leading-edge knowledge of some of the best ways to use C++, Exceptional C++ is both a challenging and truly worthwhile source of information.

The.C++ Standard Library-A Tutorial and Reference (kucati: Mat.Riks.Info)

detaljnije:
Programming with the C++ Standard Library can certainly be difficult, but Nicolai Josuttis's The C++ Standard Library provides one of the best available guides to using the built-in features of C++ effectively.

The C++ Standard Library provides plenty of default functionality in the form of the Standard Template Library (STL) for containers (like vectors and linked lists), as well as generic algorithms (which allow you to sort, search, and manipulate elements inside containers). The best thing about The C++ Standard Library is that it gives the reader a concise guide to working with these basic containers (from lists to sets and maps, with everything in between). Each container type is explained along with short code excerpts. Moreover, in a reference section, the author explores the connections between each container type, showing how they share similar methods. (Learn just a few methods and you can pretty much work with them all.
