Al-Nusra Fails to Cutoff SAA Supply Route to Dara’a City
On Wednesday morning, the Syrian Al-Qaeda terrorist group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” attempted to sneak into the town of ‘Itman from the western axis; however, they were surprised by an alert Syrian Arab Army (SAA) contingent that repelled the infiltration attempt and killed 28 terrorists in the process of this attack.

The failed Jabhat Al-Nusra infiltration attempt allowed for the SAA to launch a brief counter-assault towards Muzayrib in order to push back the militants to west and build a buffer around the western axis of ‘Itman; this was imperative because the terrorists are attempting to cutoff the main supply route to the provincial capital.

In northeast Dara’a, the SAA’s 5th Armored Division continued their offensive at Busra Al-Hareer, where they attacked the militants from Harakat ‘Ahrar Al-Sham from the western flank, killing 17 enemy combatants, including another field commander from the militant group that was identified as “Abu ‘Usama Al-Masri” (Egyptian).

Among the militants from Harakat ‘Ahrar Al-Sham that were killed at Busra Al-Hareer was a child soldier identified by rebel social media activists as “Abu Yaqoub” – his age and real identity was not revealed by the armed group.

South of Busra Al-Hareer, the SAA’s 5th Division carried out a number of attacks on the militants from Liwaa Al-Yarmouk and Jabhat Al-Nusra at the villages of Al-Kirak, Sikaka, and Nahtah, where they destroyed three armed vehicles and killed at least a dozen enemy combatants.

The SAA’s 7th Mechanized Division also carried out a raid inside the town of Kafr Shamis after they broke-through the Free Syrian Army’s frontline defenses, capturing a weapons depot at the eastern axis.

Firefights were also reported at a number of villages and cities inside the Dara’a province, including ‘Alma, Saida, Tal Al-Maal, Dara’a Al-Balad, Inkhil, ‘Ibta, Kafr Nissaj, Sinameen, Dilli, Jadal, and Qarfa.

Terrorists Offensive at Jobar Proves Unsuccessful
On Tuesday, seven foreign-backed terrorist groups launched a joint offensives inside the city of Jobar in order to recapture the territory they lost to the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard.

Well, the offensive did not go according to plan, as the Islamist factions failed to gain any significant ground in eastern Jobar; instead, they ended up losing ground near the mail depot street after fierce clashes with the Republican Guard.

Firefights have died down since nightfall on Wednesday night, with the only report of violence coming from Parliament Square; this is an area that has long been contested by both the Republican Guard and the militants from Jaysh Al-Islam.

Syria Grand Mufti stresses importance of Muslim unity


Syrian grand Mufti met with a delegation of Iranian visitors and stressed necessity of solidarity among Muslims across the world.

A delegation of members from Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of thought met with Sheikh Badr el Din Hassoun, top Syrian Mufti, to discuss the upcoming summit of the Union of Resistance Scholars, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Syrian cleric in this meeting warned against the serious threat of Takfiri (excommunicating) extremists and stressed importance of boosting unity among Muslims.

Backed by western and some Arab states, extremist Takfiri groups have been committing grisly crimes and executing Syrian civilians excommunicating both Shia and Sunni Muslims.
