Miladin Šobić je rođen 1956. godine u Nikšiću. U Nikšiću je odrastao i završio srednju školu. Nakon srednje škole, Šobić upisuje fakultet za turizam u Dubrovniku. Taj period se smatra ključnim za njegovo stvaralaštvo. Pod utiskom studentskog života i velikih prijateljstava, on stvara svoje najveće pjesme. 1975. godine objavljuje prvu pjesmu "To sam ja", koja u to vrijeme u privatnim studentskim dubrovačkim krugovima dobija status studentske himne. Godinu dana kasnije na muzičkom festivalu "Omladina 76" u Subotici osvaja drugo mjesto sa pjesmom "Daj nam neba". Na tom festivalu je nastupio i Đorđe Balašević sa grupom "Suncokret" gdje je osvojio treće mjesto.

U narednom periodu Šobić se isticao fantastičnim pjesmama koje su mnogi ljudi čuli. Preselio se u Sarajevo gdje je i briljirao. 1980. godine izdaje svoj prvi album "Ožiljak" za sarajevski Diskoton. Sa tog albuma se izdvajaju legendarna studentsko-socijalna tema "Džemper za vinograd" i najpoznatija "Marija". Na tom LP-ju su se našle "Ne pokušavaj mijenjat me", "Vrijeme ide dalje". U tom trenutku Miladin Šobić je bio na vrhuncu svoje karijere.

1982. godine završava album "Umjesto gluposti". Album počinje da se radi u Studiju muzičkog ateljea u Subotici, u noći 21. februara a završava se 8. marta iste godine. Pored naslovne pjesme tu su: "Đon", "Od druga do druga", "Opet krivi tip", "Svetozara Markovića 39"... Održao je niz koncerata na kojima je okupio veliki broj ljudi. Uvijek se odazivao i na pozive studenata i ljudi iz manjih gradova.

Tako je 1983. godine posjetio i Berane kada je u Domu kulture koji je bio ispunjen do posljednjeg mjesta održao četvorosatni koncert. Koncert je bio toliko dobar da je sam Šobić izjavio da taj nastup nikada neće zaboraviti.

Najpoznatije njegove pjesme pored već pomenutih su: "Ašik Ajša", "Sutomore", "Svetionik", "Desetka iz drugarstva",...

U vrijeme najvećeg uspjeha Miladin Šobić doživljava porodičnu tragediju. Njegova sestra umire nakon teške bolesti. Nakon svega Šobić se povukao.

Snimio je i treći album pod nazivom "Barutana ljubavi" ali zbog porodične tragedije ostavlja muziku i album nikad nije izdan.
