Some things can not be easily forgotten

Edin Dzeko has decided to change clubs this summer, and this upcoming season he will play for AS Roma.

His transfer to Roma feels like a real breath of fresh air in the career of our best player, but it is too early to make any kind of conclusions. We hope that Edin will bag goals from game to game in the Serie A and that Rudi Garcia will rate him better than Manuel Pellegrini did.

Even though everything seems magical at this moment, we should not neglect the fact that Italian football is not easier than the rest, that it is not easy for a striker to play against defenses when some teams are completley defensively oriented. That means that Edin will have to put in a lot of effort every minute of the game.

One thing that should be for sure is that Edin will play. In Rome he was welcomed like a king, fans have a lot of belief in him, and the expectations are great. That can be a lot of pressure, but lets believe that is only an additional motivation for the Diamond. A packed Olimpico, die hard fans, the Eternal City, Totti, Pjanic….there should not be any shortage of motivations.

The transfer saga surrounding our main ace took too long, from day to day a lot has been written about potential club transfers, and somehow we all knew that his adventure in Manchester was over. Four years have passed, and in each one Edin had his moments. Of course, the last season did not go according to his plans, but football is like that, everything transcends so quickly and a man has to mentally ready to deal with all sorts of problems.

There is no doubt that Edin remembers Mario Balotelli and all his shenanigans, Roberto Mancini, Aleksandar Kolarov, jamming to Bosnian folk music during celebrations in the locker room, the thousands of fans in the stands and on the field for title celebrations….Our best player spent incredible years at Manchester that he will never forget.

Knowing him, he will stay good friends with everyone from Manchester, he will visit the Etihad sooner or later, maybe even in a Roma jersey, and everyone will welcome him with open arms because he is like that. A Winner.

He congratulates when he loses, he shows respect when he wins. Great moments await him in Italy. Awaits him are new wins, new titles.
