SILAEvatt praises Drogba
Seasiders defender admits to being "tossed like a rag doll"
At one stage in the second half, I put my whole bodyweight in front of him and he just tossed me away like I was a rag doll.
Ian Evatt
Blackpool defender Ian Evatt has described playing against Didier Drogba as one of the toughest tests of his career.
The pair faced each other in Chelsea's 4-0 mauling of the Seasiders at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with the Ivory Coast international in typically menacing form.
The 31-year-old has had a brilliant start to the season, scoring five goals in his first five games and creating a host of chances for his team-mates.
Evatt admitted to being "tossed like a rag doll" by the powerful 32-year-old during the game, and rates him firmly as one of the best strikers in the world.
Totally different
"Drogba was just something totally different," Evatt told the Blackpool Gazette..
"I am used to playing against strong players but you don't realise just how strong this guy is until you face him.
"At one stage in the second half, I put my whole bodyweight in front of him and he just tossed me away like I was a rag doll.
"I was thinking, 'hell, this guy's strong', but that's what he is about. He is a clever player and he isn't one of the top three strikers in the world for no reason. I think on Sunday he showed me why."

Safara se ukakno...Ferguson feels Chelsea could not have asked for a better start to the season, but conceded whoever finishes above Carlo Ancelotti's side will probably win the title.
"It's quite an amazing start to the season," added Ferguson.
"I think Chelsea chose the fixture list themselves. They finished last season scoring a lot of goals against weaker teams and have continued that way.
"You still have to beat those teams but Chelsea have done that in quite a strong fashion and anyone who wins the league will have to finish above them."
Taaaaaaaako jeMancini said: "Chelsea are the strongest team in the Premier League.
"Technically, only Arsenal are on a par with them, but Chelsea have greater physical power. That is the only difference and what gives Chelsea the edge."
Although City got the better of Chelsea a fortnight ago with a 1-0 win at Eastlands, Mancini claims Ancelotti will be celebrating a second straight title.
"After the game against Chelsea I said to Ancelotti, 'I beat you, but you will win the Premier League so you are better off than me'," said Mancini.
"I still think Chelsea will win the title."
