It is believed Liverpool wanted to restructure the deal in light of Fekir’s medical, but the French club balked at this.
Negotiations could resume, but it is unlikely to happen until after the World Cup finals, or France’s elimination. (Joyce)

Jedino onda ima logike teorija po kojoj je Lyon zamolio da se sve potpiše u julu radi finansijskih izvještaja.

Liverpool are considering their next move following the collapse of their proposed move for Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to continue overhauling the Reds midfield having already snapped up Monaco's Fabinho this summer to join the incoming Naby Keita from RB Leipzig.
Fekir had been pinpointed as another major target with Liverpool having scouted the 24-year-old extensively during the course of the season.
The attacking midfielder was intent on moving to Anfield and had agreed personal terms, with Lyon and Liverpool settling on a fee.
But it is understood the deal collapsed on Friday morning when Liverpool withdrew their interest after the player's medical. Any attempts to then renegotiate the terms of the transfer were not initiated by the Reds.
Subsequently, Lyon released a statement on Saturday evening saying Fekir would remain their player for next season.
The deal was so far advanced that images leaked on social media of Fekir having posed for photographs ahead of his official unveiling on Liverpool's official website. Reports in France indicated the player had already chosen a squad number.
Fekir was sidelined for seven months after rupturing his cruciate ligament in September 2015, and in February was out for five weeks with a knee contusion.
The player refused to answer questions on his future having featured as a substitute in France's 1-1 World Cup warm-up draw against the United States on Saturday night.
He was given a huge ovation on his introduction, with the game played at his home ground in Lyon.
With Fekir interest now over, Liverpool will look to other targets with Klopp still keen on a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who joined Barcelona for £142million in January.
That is not linked to their interest in Stoke City's Xherdan Shaqiri, the Switzerland international seen as a possible reinforcement for the forward line. Gent's Nigeria international winger Moses Simon is another option for Liverpool. (Echo)

Alisson hopes his club future will be sorted out before the World Cup starts later this week.
“I believe and I hope that everything will be resolved before the start of the World Cup.”
Alisson: “If it's not resolved before the World Cup, then it will be discussed after it because my head will be focused only on Brazil.”
Alisson: “There are many possibilities on which we are working, but always together with Roma and with respect to my club. We will see what will happen this week.”

Liverpool have moved closer to a potential deal for Xherdan Shaqiri after the World Cup. He's not an alternative to Nabil Fekir & is seen as quality back up to the front line. There’s also still a slim chance of the Fekir deal being revived next month, according to @MaddockMirror
Xherdan Shaqiri is keen on an Anfield switch, and a deal now looks possible if Stoke are willing to let him go close to the figure the Reds understand is contained in a break clause in his contract.

Shaqiri is NOT an alternative to Nabil Fekir, whose transfer collapsed at the 11th hour, when complications found in medical tests last Friday ultimately scuppered an agreed £53m deal. (Mirror)
Liverpool will take a step back from the transfer market over the next few weeks as the World Cup gets underway, but Shaqiri is possible once his country Switzerland exit the competition. (Mirror)
The deal for Nabil Fekir is also not dead. Lyon have looked at ways of restructuring the terms of the £53million transfer, which would reflect concerns relating to knee surgery the France international underwent. (Mirror)
Lazio are interested in Marko Grujic, and will prepare a £5million bid for the Serb international.

Turkish media reporting that Zeljko #Buvac is practically done to #Fenerbahce. All that's needed is the ok from the club president. #LFC #Liverpool
#Buvac to #Fenerbahce "would be a shock to #Fener fans", because they're expecting names like #Sarri and #Enrique, as well as some more high profile coaching names.

Liverpool are ready to concede defeat in their pursuit of Brazil keeper Alisson.
The Anfield recruitment team have made no offer as they accept any deal is highly unlikely.
Via @MaddockMirror
That fee is thought to be in excess of £70m, and with Roma adamant they won't budge on that valuation, Jurgen Klopp has told his board he's not interested any where near that figure. (Mirror)
With Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak also priced out of range, that will see the Anfield boss reassess his plans this summer, as he looks for a new signing in goal. (Mirror)
Klopp will refuse to panic and may consider giving his current third choice keeper Danny Ward a chance to compete with Karius. (Mirror)
