Simon, who has been tracked by several Premier League clubs, has a year left remaining on his contract and is expected to command a fee of around £10million from Belgian side Gent. (Echo)
He has been heavily scouted by Liverpool as they seek pacy backup to regular wide man Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané. Simon is capable of playing on either flank but spent much of this season on the left wing. (Echo)
Naby Keita and Fabinho have already been signed as part of a midfield overhaul, while the Reds are continuing to work on a move for £60m-rated Lyon attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir. (Echo)
Moses Simon plays for KAA Gent and has caught the eye with his performances from the left-wing.

The versatile wideman is capable of playing across the frontline, but the predominantly right-footed Simon prefers to operate on the left side.

Liverpool are considering a move for £10 million-rated ($13m) Gent winger Moses Simon. The 22-year-old is one of a number of targets under consideration as Jurgen Klopp seeks a pacy, multi-functional forward player, writes @neiljonesgoal
The mangaer also has decisions to make over three young wingers - Harry Wilson, Sheyi Ojo and Ryan Kent, but all are expected back at the club this summer. (Neil Jones)
Liverpool will continue to insist on a deal in which clubs are punished financially if a loan player does not start a certain amount of games - Bristol City were made to pay £500,000 after signing Ryan Kent in January, after he made just six starts. (Neil Jones)

BREAKING:

Genuine interest from #LFC in Xherdan Shaqiri, who would provide depth across the attacking positions. Danger from set-pieces, creative, can be decisive in the final third. Release clause of around £12 million makes it low risk.

Liverpool’s summer transfer programme accelerated on Wednesday, with the probability of at least one target being secured inside the next 24 hours increasing dramatically.

While the club’s chances of signing Nabil Fekir ahead of the World Cup became much greater when Lyon’s president accepted that the player only wishes to move to Anfield, progress was made on a deal for Stoke City’s Xherdan Shaqiri.

Fekir has made it clear to all parties involved – with the help of Jean-Pierre Bernès, the highly influential agent from Marseille – that he does not see his future anywhere other than Merseyside.

Thursday is the last realistic day to complete deals before both nations head to Russia before their opening fixtures against Australia and Brazil respectively. (Independent)

Further work will be done to elevate Klopp’s depth of options, with Stoke’s Xherdan Shaqiri - a versatile attacking midfielder capable of filling in further forward - of interest. (JOE)
There is a wealth of admiration for Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid, but his release clause of £88m is also prohibitive. If there is a opportunity to broker a transfer at more manageable terms, Liverpool would not hesitate to recruit a pedigreed keeper. (JOE)

Klopp would also like to sign Alisson Becker, who would cost a world record fee for a player in his position. If the Italian side, who have some financial issues to address, show a willingness to do business, Liverpool would move swiftly for the Brazil No 1. (Mail)
