Mislim da je za one koji ne znaju, a zainteresirani su, zanimljiva informacija da je Immortal porijeklom Afro-Peruanac tj. preci su mu Africki robovi koji su dovedeni u Peru a odrastao je u Harlem, New York. Lirika poput njegove je jedan od razloga zbog kojih sam se zaljubila, kao petanestogodisnja curica , u rap/hip-hop. Ja ne moram razumjeti sta Palestinac, mjesavinom sinkopaticnog, ludo dobrog 7/8 arapskog ritma i ekplozivnog prljavog basa, meni govori; nekako bez rijeci razumijem da je vrijedno. Mos Def a drugom feat. Chuck D. & KRS. Onome ko zna i cijeni, a nema u posjedu, ova informacija ce, ja mislim, biti vise nego dovoljna da ukuca Immortal Technique Bin Laden Remix.mp3 u google. Hip-hop kakav je nekad bio i onakav kakav treba biti. Moj najbolji prijatelj i ja smo njegovom tada desetogodisnjem sinu, koji je u skoli pao pod utjecaj bijelih-srednjestaleznih klinaca koji nemaju pojma sta je hip-hop, pustali Immortal da bi ga naucili ne sta je hip-hop nego sta je razmisljati svojom glavom. I da je hip-hop isto kao sto je i ,po rijecima Louis Armstrong-a, jazz: "If you have to ask, you will never know".
