osvojen i prvi trofej u novoj sezoni.

Laganini man UTD. počinje odbranu naslova.

evo vode golom skolsa i to glavom
vjerovatno najlosija njegova utakmica koju sam gled'o a evo i danas grijesi...
nisam siguran koliko jos moze skols fizicki izrdzat....
treba odrzat' ovu prednost do kraja a onda u srijedu dat' maksimum .... i navijat' za viljareal

Glory Manchester United, najveći Engleski klub svih vremena.

Sorry Dad, But Eric Really Was King...
"My best moment? I have a lot of good moments but the one I prefer is when I kicked the hooligan."
I don't keep many secrets from my old man. We get along famously, but there's one shameful thing I've never said.
Dad raised me to despise Manchester United and everything they stand for, and although I've matured rather since my younger days, the Nineties was a blur of crushingly disappointing yet inevitable last-minute goals, Fergie whines and appalling pastings for everyone else.
However, I couldn't help but enjoy it when one player scored.
Dad might disown me when he reads this, but even throughout that time, I loved Eric Cantona.
From memory I only saw him once live, but I found myself watching, not the ball, not my own team, but the guy with his chest puffed out, sauntering around the pitch like he was a god among men.
He didn't have great pace, but he could destroy a defence with a flick or a pass, something that nobody else would even conceive, never mind pull off. That's a different kind of genius, of intelligence, and something that barely anyone has, or will ever have.
Yet inspiring the sort of devotion that still surrounds Cantona doesn't just come from being a brilliant footballer. You could argue that David Beckham or Ryan Giggs or Paul Scholes's ability is/was comparable to Cantona's, but will their names still be sung at Old Trafford 12 years after they retire? Doubtful.
It was the charisma, the aura - something you couldn't quite put your finger on, but was undeniable.
In the film Looking For Eric, a 50-something postman (also called Eric - coincidence that...) sorts his life out with the help of Cantona, or rather a hallucination of Cantona brought about by a jazz cigarette.
Postman Eric has a life-size picture of Cantona on his bedroom wall, rather immature behaviour that one doesn't associate with anyone over 14, but it's believable in this case. Anyone else and you'd scoff, but with Cantona it's perfectly plausible that such a man would continue to adore him.
Not just men either. My (female) cinematic companion said after seeing the film: "He's just a very sexy man."
Without wishing to sound like Jimmy Armfield, harking back to 'the good old days', when men were men and all the players did a 28 hour shift down t' pit before a game, there's nobody like Eric around these days.
His arrogance was part of his appeal, part of his charisma and although there are some colossally arrogant players around today, his arrogance was different. It was unshakable self-belief. It was assurance. It was absolute knowledge that he was the best.
When the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo posture and celebrate today, they're saying 'F**k I'm good - look at me'. When Cantona did it he didn't need anyone to look at him. He didn't require validation. He knew he was good, and didn't need anyone else to tell him that.
How else do you explain the press conference after his ban? He was aware enough to realise people would see him as a crank and an eccentric, but he didn't care. While people have tried to analyse the 'seagulls' quote, Cantona has admitted that it was nonsense, that he didn't have anything else to say, so he just cooked up some pseudo philosophy to confuse the assembled hacks.
That goal against Sunderland (what do you mean 'What goal?' This goal)
was the perfect illustration of his appeal. Magnificent control, strength followed by the poise and presence of mind to halt a rapid run and gently lift the ball into the net.
Then instead of wildly celebrating, he stands there, surveying the mortals he has left in his wake, admiring his own genius. How is it possible not to love that?
It's a cliché to say he was a showman, but clichés are often true.
Showman, genius, King Eric. Call him what you like, but if even a man schooled to hate United can admit how good he was, can't everyone?

Owen preso. Nije lose, treba sansu dati mladima Welbecku i Machedi, a Owenove povrede ima da im daju dosta prilika. Inace, mislim ako Owen moze izbjeci povrede, moze opet postati strasan igac.
