E sad, koji su to manji teleskopi je pitanje.U svakom slucaju bolji i skuplji teleskopi koji se mogu naci i u trgovinama.

Bice vidljiv trag,, ako se neko moze prisjetiti 1995 godine... slican izgled..

A ovo nije zezancija.. tolika gromada cesto vrlo tvrdog sastava., kad juri preko 30.000km/h :)

Duck, asteroid on the way tonight

Chee Chee Leung
January 29, 2008

AN ASTEROID that is wider than the Sydney Cricket Ground will pass by Earth tonight in its closest approach to the planet in more than 2000 years.

The orbit of the 250-metre giant rock will bring it within 538,000 kilometres of Earth - or almost one-and-a-half times the distance to the moon - at 7.33pm.

If an asteroid this size were to strike the planet it could cause considerable damage but NASA says there is no possibility of an impact "in the foreseeable future".

While professional and some amateur astronomers in the northern hemisphere will be able to see the asteroid, Australians will not as it will pass below our northern horizon.

But Perry Vlahos, of the Astronomical Society of Victoria, said the rare close pass was a reminder of the potential danger of near-Earth objects.

"Normally, you don't get too many things coming this close," he said. "It's certainly something that we should be mindful of, that at any time something could come out at us from any direction."

The asteroid, named 2007 TU24, was discovered in October last year. Images collected by NASA suggest it has an asymmetrical shape, and tonight's Earth approach will be its closest until at least the end of next century.

It is one of an estimated 7000 near-Earth objects of its size or larger, which come close to Earth on average about every five years.

NASA says it will be the closest approach of one of these known asteroids until 2027, but Mr Vlahos says this could be a conservative estimate.

"There may be something that goes past even closer between now and then that's just freshly discovered," he said.

"This is only of all the known asteroids and, unfortunately, it's the unknowns we need to worry about."
