He was fcking awful yet again. His turnovers tonight got the Sixers going. He is SUPPOSE to space the floor but how do you do that when you are only shooting 39.1% FG and 31.8% 3pt? We dont have any other option then to play him big minutes when KG is out and this is the results. The entire time he is in the game Im just hoping we dont completely blow the lead.

And you all turn a blind eye to his pathetic play.

He is the symbol of the Russians meddling with BKs decisions.

That other website was posting articles about him in 2012 before the offseason even started because they knew he was a favorite of the Russian Hierarchy. The so called "Best Player in Europe" he was billed as. We gave him the exception that Gerald Green earned. He came into camp out of shape and somehow gave away the starting PF positon that was virtually guaranteed to him. Instead of playing his way into playing time he had his agent complain through the media and made excuses that he "bulked up" to much as the reason why he came into camp out of shape. Avery was blamed after saying he wasnt an NBA player. Guess what, it's 3 years later and he still isnt. Everyone wants to claim his play last year but is 39% 3pt shooting good for a 3pt shooting specialist? Of course it isnt.

So for those who dont blame the coaches, who all lost their job for NOT playing this guy despite ownership pressuring them to, the other excuse used for his poor play is his confidence. If he was a 20 year old rookie with no professional playing experience then I would understand a player losing their confidence. Not a player with a decade of professional experience who was supposedly the best Europe had to offer. At what age or level of experience does this stop being an excuse?

My favorite excuse for this year is to blame Jarrett Jack for Mirza's poor play. I dont see people doing it here but on other sites people act like if DWill was playing then Mirza would be playing better. They ignore the fact that Mirza has his highest shooting % w Jack on the floor. They dont acknoledge what their eyes tell them, that Mirza takes horrible shots. Early in the shot clock, hand in his face, out of rhythm, it doesnt matter to Mirza, he is going to take a shot when he touches the ball. He has to be the most selfish player on the team because he shoots just about every time he touches the ball. He makes Alan Anderson look conservative in his shot selection.

I wont even get into his poor defense and rebounding because I really shouldnt have to. If you watched last nights game and any of the other games he played in then you should know all of this already. Mirza represents everything that has gone wrong in Brooklyn. Billy King has been forced to take Euro's over American players. It's why we used the Mini-MLE on Euro's the last 3 years (Mirza, AK, Bogs). None of who have worked out. It's why we insisted on Karasev being included in the Jack trade. Dont take this as me being against Euro's either. I was all for AK and I like Karasev long term. But if this was Donald Sterling forcing his GM to draft non-black players it would cause a big stink. I dont see why it's not considered discrimination when the Nets do it. They fired 2 of the last 3 coaches because they didnt play the Euro's. Karasev and Bogs both got the starting spot at SG even though they didnt earn it and are getting beat repeatedly game after game.

I feel bad for Hollins. He has to deal with 2 max players who are lazy an entitled (Lopez, DWill). He doesnt have an option but to play the struggling Euro's because the Russians force BK to clear the roster of any competition for them. This team is a mess and going nowhere until we do what is needed. We need to trade for a starting PF and SG and let Mirza, Bogs and Karasev get their minutes the old fashion way and earn it.
