Kad smo kod Izraelske filharmonije, muzicki direktor od 1968-e godine je Zubin Mehta, covjek koji je odrzao koncert u opkoljenom Sarajevu.Čitalac wrote:Nije tema, ali izraelska filharmonija je u maju 1955. održala privatni koncert za papu Pija XII - "Hitlerovog papu" - u znak zahvalnosti za pomoć koju je crkva pružila Jevrejima tokom Drugog svetskog rata.
Conductor Paul Kletzky had requested that on the Israel orchestra’s first tour of Italy it be allowed to perform for the Pope as a gesture of gratitude for the help which the Roman Catholic Church gave to all persons persecuted by the Nazis and Fascists. On je inace 1991.godine dobio nagradu Izrael, i kao nosilac te nagrade je nastupio u ratom opkoljenom Sarajevu, hvala im svima.
