This means that the team would have to win eight or nine of the remaining 14 matches (three points per win) if it wants to continue in the upper house of football. Whether the new coach Bernd Hollerbach can incite the professionals to the performance increase, however, might be carried at present particularly by a large feeling: the hope.
The oncoming sporting misery results in another one that is far more serious than the threat of relegation: it's about money. And it is clear that one follows the other. So the catastrophic cash situation is the result of the sporting disaster that has persisted for years, which arises equally from mismanagement and a largely incompetent purchasing and sales policy of the license players. Because only those who kick on the pitch, at least in the secure midfield of the table, also get fat TV money. Especially the latter were changed as quickly as sweaty jerseys. Over the last 17 years, the club has hired, believe it or not, 15 head coaches - and quickly fired them back. Their average seating strength on the spinning chair: 1.13 years. Nowhere else in the league is he more shaky.
The coaches chased by the court were sweetened with lavish severance pay, which is why the assessment applies in the industry that HSV Fußball AG is not only the worst managed professional group of the Bundesliga, but also the unofficial compensation or payout champion.
