Malatyaspor 0-2 Fenerbahçe

Last week; two late goals got us a 2-0 win against Malatyaspor, on a rainy night in Malatya. Nicolas Anelka broke the deadlock in the 78th minute with a finely taken goal and Marcio Nobre wrapped things up in the 88th.

Malatyaspor played most of the game with 10 men, but we equalled that number after Tuncay Şanlı received his own marching orders.

Fenerbahçe 3-2 Gençlerbirliği

An Alex de Souza hat-trick got us the win at the end of a tense encounter with Gençlerbirliği. Souleyman Youla gave the visitors the lead followed by two Alex penalties, once again matched by Youla before Alex took to the stage again. Serkan Balcı was sent off for his protests to the goalkeeper of Gencler.

Tuncay Şanlı was the only regular of late that was missing from the side, as was Pierre van Hooijdonk who seemed likely to start tonight. Christoph Daum opted to keep him on the bench, put his entrance paid off as he was the one to set up the winning goal with an elegant back heel pass.

Referee Cem Deda was to feature a lot throughout the game, making very odd decisions against both teams that would change the course of the game. Both sets of players got aggressive particularly in the second half with pushes and shoves seen on two instances.

An Alex freekick was punched over by Ömer Çatkıç in the 12th minute who repeated another save from the same man four minutes later. But the Ankara side bounced back and Youla hit a first time shot onto Skoko`s dead ball which come from a wrong decision of the referee and which was accurate enough to give them the lead, 1-0.

Mehmet Yozgatlı was on song today, creating space for himself on the right wing with his skill and crossing in well for the attackers. His break into the box resulted in a penalty, a dubious decision considering the slide tackle seemed to get the ball. Alex stepped up and scored the equaliser.

Image

Aurelio was then brought down in the 40th minute for another penalty to be given. Alex beat Ömer again and gave us the lead seconds before half time.

Gençler with an equaliser, scored once again by Youla who hit hard into the bottom left hand corner.

The tension grew as control was being lost by referee Deda, who took the decision to send off Serkan Balcı for a protest against the goalkeeper of Gencler in the 79th minute.

Pierre van Hooijdonk was on to add more attacking power as time was running out. Alex`s drive from the centre was concluded with a one two with the Dutchman and a great shot by Alex who saw his effort go in off the post in the 88th minute.

Sakaryaspor 0-1 Fenerbahçe
08.04.2005

A bullet Fabio Luciano header in the dying seconds sent us into ecstacy as we won a tough game in Sakaryaspor 1-0. We dominated the game but didn`t create enough chances in front of goal.

Today we have lost against besiktas 3-4. Now we are leader of the league 4 points ahead of second team 6alatasaray.

Image

A thriller of a derby at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium ended in a 4-3 win for Beşiktaş. During all the game, we have the control of the game, but besiktas had goals so chancely. The win of besiktas make them relax on the way for not going to second division.

We`re in the Final of Turkish Cup!

We`re in the Final of the Turkish Cup after a controversy filled Semi Final with Denizlispor that ended 0-0 in normal time, 1-1 after extra time and 5-4 on penalties. Captain Ümit Özat was sent off early and Fabio Luciano after his equaliser.

Ümit reacted to Denizli Coach Giray Bulak`s protests from the bench and words were exchanged between the two. Referee Selçuk Dereli sent off Ümit with only 15 minutes gone.

Dereli was a poor referee on the night, reluctant to produce cards for Denizlispor players and making odd decisions all over the pitch.

So much so that in the second half of the game keeper Suleymanou wasn`t sent off for handling the ball outside the area.

Denizli`s goal in extra time however was similar to those let in on the weekend, a long hard shot from outside the area.

Luciano then joined the attack and it paid off, as he capitalised on a mistake by the keeper to tap the ball in for the equaliser. The Brazilian took his shirt off in celebration and received his second booking. The team was then down to nine men having already played most of the game with 10.

In the penalty shoot-out Nicolas Anelka was the only Fenerbahçe player that missed, with Rüştü saving one and another going over. Mehmet Yozgatlı scored the winning penalty to take us to the final where we play rivals Galatasaray in the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on 11 May.

Fenerbahçe 2-1 Trabzonspor
29.04.2005

Marcio Nobre`s header onto Alex de Souza`s freekick and Alex`s own penalty goal after Fatih Tekke`s equaliser got us a crucial 2-1 win over Trabzonspor with four weeks to go to the Süper Lig finish.

Image
Anelka - Alex - Nobre

Alex played an excellent game, receiving applause as he came off the field. Nicolas Anelka won the penalty which was to lead to our winning goal.

Fabio Luciano will miss another game after picking up a booking.

Diyarbakır 0 - 2 Fenerbahçe
07.05.2005

Image

An impressive performance was capped with two goals in Diyarbakır scored by Tuncay Şanlı and Marcio Nobre. Unfortunately, more aggression was witnessed off the pitch, as our fans were bombarded by objects with some being taken away in an ambulance.

A number of journalists were also injured in the events including a female Fenerbahçe fan...

On the pitch, Alex de Souza`s freekick was met by Tuncay`s light header, which was enough to guide it into the goal a little before half time.

Serhat Akın`s work on the right was concluded by a shot, but the rebound off the keeper meant Nobre would pounce to score the second goal in the 77th minute.

The win was crucial with now only three weeks to go in the league and Galatasaray also winning against Ankaragücü tonight.

last day we lost against galatasaray in the turkish cup final.

galatasaray was the poor but lucky side of the match and they won the game with unbeliavable score 5-1.

in the first half every attack of galatasaray ended with a goal and the half time finished 3-1, also with the help of Serdar Tatli.

Real Champion will be clear soon after the match in our Stadium on 22 MAY. we are now 4 points ahead of galatasaray and we have 3 matches.

Ankaragücü 1 - 0 Fenerbahçe
15.05.2005

A win against Ankaragücü would have given us the championship title tonight but we fell 1-0 while Galatasaray lost 2-1 at home to another Ankara side Gençlerbirliği. Cenk İşler`s stupid penalty in the 70th minute was the only goal of the game.

Ümit Özat returned from suspension to take part in the game, playing a midfield role next to Marco Aurelio while Mahmut Hanefi started at left back as Önder Turacı played at right back.

Our best chance fell to Tuncay Şanlı when Fabio Luciano played a ball square to him in front of goal, but a die hard slide tackle blocked the shot. Luciano then tried himself towards the end of the game but a deflection saw it go out for a corner.

Christoph Daum entered Murat Hacıoğlu, Mehmet Yozgatlı and Kemal Aslan into the game but to no avail as our usual danger men were ineffective throughout the game and the new entrants failed to spark any life into our play.

The championship can be won next weekend when we play Galatasaray again, this time at Kadıköy.

I hate Fenerbahçe!

I hope Fenerbahçe will be kicked-out in the first round of the Champions League!

I wish you AC Milan, FC Dynamo Kyiv (ФК Динамо Київ :D ) and FC Barcelona in the group stage.

They will kick your ass on the Şükrü Saraçoğlu stadium! :x :D

And on the Camp Nou, Giuseppe Meazza and Olimpiyskiy (Олімпійський.).

:P :-)

Don't worry. You will don't have to fight for the last place in the group stage. Last place is secured for you.
