Siloah/Siloah

Born during krautrock’s explosion at the beginning of the 70’s Siloah deserves an interest for fans of psychedelic folk music. With a delicate free form sound the band delivers catchy, sometimes dreamy like songs for acoustic instruments, dominated by guitars and percussions. The “acid” folk mention reminds me some good kraut-folk items (Amon Duul’s Paradieswarts Duul, Kalacakra’s Crawling to Lhasa, Hoelderlin’s Traum…), featuring “ethno-psychedelic”, simplistic poetic romance and stoned vocals. “Yellow puppets” is a short “pastoral” piece for acoustic guitar & percussions, quite charming. “Krishna Golden Dope Show” is more into a “hippie” like trip, a bit old dated but it sounds nice, very folk with gorgeous peaceful effects, “monotonous” vocals and soft chorus. “Road to Larany” is a brilliant bluesy acoustic folk ballad. “Acid Eagle” is a freak out repetitive tune for ethnic like percussions and stringed instruments. “Alluminum winds” is a rather dark “acid” folk composition with not real coherence and no real sense of composition. Nice floating flute lines punctuated the ensemble. The new Garden of delights CD reissue contains bonus tracks & a full booklet of notes and photos. Not the best German “stoned” folk item but a few amazing atmospheres.

Bilo je to vrijeme ruža.
Ako može ovo negdje da se iščeprka,jer DEEP PURPLE JE ...NEMAM RIJEČI.
sječam se da je bila i jedna dobra obrada (dim na vodi),šutali smo se od meraka.
Pa,ako nije problem,pratit ću danas ovaj forum,a ON sve vidi i sve zna,pa ko me obraduje..upisat će mu se kao dobro.

The multi instrumentalist Peter Frohmader is the founder and leader of Nekropolis (heavy, primitive & dark electronic rock group launched in the late 70’s). Three major albums have been published under the name (Nekropolis, Nekropolis 2 & "le Culte des goules" in 1985). More in the vein of krautrock dark experimentations (with tape manipulations and doom bass sequences), "musik aus dem schattenreich Nekropolis" was released under the same name (1978-79). Nekropolis and Peter Frohmader solo projects are considered as leading experiences in the appreciation of complex modern electronica. Published in 1990, "Macrocosm" '3rd Millennium's Choice Vol. 1' is considered as a little classic with its deep ambient and almost gothic synth ambiences. He is accompanied by Stephan Manu (on violin) who is also a guest musician in "Ritual" and "Orakel/Tiefe". Released around the same period, "Eismeer" carries on Sci-Fi, menacing and creepy atmospheric synthesisers’ explorations. "Cycle of Eternity" (1992) is a contemplative, spiritual journey throw electronic realms. Frohmader collaborated with Richard Pinhas (Heldon) in the massive and hypnotic "Fossile Culture" (1999). In his last works, Frohmader experiments accessible and floating ambient soundscapes closed to Brian Eno and late Cluster (Space Icon. 2002 : Transfiguration).
