Je, Modesti je bila Savršenstvo. Dan danas je čitam sa istom srećom i radošću kao kad sam imala 6 godina. To mi je bio i ostao omiljeni strip, a slede Alan Ford, Fantom, Axa, Asterix, Iznogud (za kog sam tek u srednjoj školi provalila da je is-no-good

), Rip Kirbi, Kapetan Miki, Blek Stena, Zagor, i štatigajaznam šta sve ne, gutala sam sve stripove koji su izlazili osamdesetih. Posle sam volela Bernarda Panasonica, Freak Brothers, Mačak Fritz mi je tu i tamo bio zabavan, al' generalno malo preteran za moj ukus.

Za mene najbolji je Martin Mystere...

iz pera vrsnog talijanskog scenariste Alfreda Castellija, a po likovnom predlošku crtača Giancarla Alessandrinija, nastala je 1978. (a prvi broj je izašao 1982.) saga o Martinu Mystereu, zaljubljeniku u enigme koje tzv. službena znanost niječe ili pogrešno tumači. Castelli nam već u samom početku predstavlja Martina kao svestranog znanstvenika obdarenog širokom kulturom i neizlječivom znatiželjom. On je arheolog i antropolog, a istovremeno i stručnjak za kompjutere, koji brzo i lako prihvaća nove tehnološke koncepte. Vrsni je poznavalac umjetnosti (u Firenci je studirao povijest umjetnosti) i strastveni kolekcionar starih (a i novijih) knjiga, umjetnina i neobičnih artefakata. Fasciniran je ljudskom civilizacijom u svim njenim pojavnim oblicima; posjeduje zapanjujuće znanje o nebrojenim povijesnim i zemljopisnim činjenicama, kao antropolog dobro je upućen u etnologiju i etnografiju, poznaje mitologiju, religiju i povijest magije, a poznaje i mnoge suvremene jezike, stare alfabete i tajne kodove… U mladosti je proveo neko vrijeme na Tibetu, gdje je pod spiritualnim vodstvom Koota Hoomija stekao treće oko. Od njega je dobio i petnaest tisuća godina staro oružje koje ispušta paralizirajuće zrake, za bilo koga drugog osim njega praznu kutija bez ikakve funkcije. Pored svega navedenog, treba dodati i to da je atletske građe, a da se u opasnim situacijama, od obične ulične tučnjave do preživljavanja u nemogućim vanjskim uvjetima, snalazi instinktom i spretnošću klasičnog akcijskog junaka.

cbr & cbz files
These are usually comic books in an archive format.
A .cbr file is actually the same thing as a .rar file and a .cbz file is the same as a .zip file.
To display these archives easily it's extremely useful to use the free program called CDisplay. If you asssociate these two file types with CDisplay, you never need to unpack the archives, but can keep them together (of course, you can unpack the individaul images with WinRar etc any time you want), then just double click to read/view the comics.
The Windows Comic Reader utility 'CDisplay' was written to ease the reading of comics with the pages in JPEG, GIF or PNG format, without the need to open the archive at all

What are CBZ files? CBZ files are zipped file archives that have had their extension renamed from .zip to .cbz
- What are CBR files? CBR files are rarred file archives with their extension changed from .rar to .cbr
- ...but why? These are the extensions associated with the rather excellent CDisplay program, a very good way of reading digital comics.
- Can CDisplay read zip and rar files? Yes but you have to run the program then open them manually.
- So why rename them? By making file extension associations it means when you double click on a CBR or CBZ file it will open in CDisplay automatically. Zip and Rar extensions are more likely associated with an archive program and you're likely to want to keep it that way.
- So what's so good about this CDisplay program? It's a good way of viewing image archives and has a lot of options for presentation and moving through archives, many of which are optimised for comics.
- How do I make my own CBR and CBZ files? Archive the files as you would normally (eg Winrar. winzip etc) and just rename them with the different extensions.... yes, it's that simple!

Clark Savage. Jr first appeared in March, 1933 in the first issue of Doc Savage Magazine. Because of the success of The Shadow, who had his own pulp magazine, the publishers Street & Smith quickly launched this pulp title. Unlike The Shadow, Clark Savage (or 'Doc' to his friends), had no special powers, but was raised from birth by his father and other scientists to become one of the most perfect human beings in terms of strength, mental and physical agilities.

Setting up base on the 86th floor of a New York skyscraper (implied but never outright stated as the Empire State Building), Doc Savage fights against evil with the assistance of the 'fabulous five'. These five individuals consist of: Col. John Renwick ('Renny'), a six foot four inch tall engineer; William Harper Littlejohn ('Johnny'), a geologist and archaeologist; Maj. Thomas J. Roberts ('Long Tom'), an electrical wizard; Brig. Gen. Theodore Marley Brooks ('Ham'), an attorney (who carried a sword cane); and 260 pound, five foot, Lt. Col. Andrew Blodgett Mayfair ('Monk'), a chemist. All five of these men are experts in their field and assist Doc Savage on his adventures.

The adventures of Doc Savage appeared in 181 pulp novels between 1933 and 1949. Written under the house name of 'Kenneth Robeson', the majority of these were written by Lester Dent. in 1964 Bantam Books started to reprint the pulp stories in paperback. These proved to be extremely popular, with the publisher continuing to reprint the stories off and on until 1990. It was during the 1960s and 1970s that the character really started to catch on again with the paperbacks appearing and the characters appearances in other media such as a movie and comic books.

Doc Savage first appeared in his own comic book series in the 1940s, which lasted for twenty issues. There was some difference between the pulp version and this one as the comic book version had his own costume and powers. The pulp incarnation of the character was revived in a single issue comic book adaptation of the pulp, "Thousand Headed Man" published by Gold Key Comics in 1966. When the pulp version of the character was enjoying a revival in the 1970s, Marvel Comics published eight issues of Doc in a traditional Marvel colour comic book series, and eight issues of a black and white format magazine (which was first released when the movie appeared). Since then the character has appeared in comic books by such publishers as DC Comics, Innovation, Millennium and Dark Horse Comics.
