Interkulturelles Zentrum and Fond Aspern, Kiev kindly invite to apply for the youthNET – CIS Contact Seminar on “Human Rights Education” / Ukrainian Youth Forum: UKRAINIAN YOUTH IN EUROPE in Kiev, Ukraine, 21 -27 November 2005.



youthNET aims at the development of sustainable relationships, co-operation and joint projects in the areas of youth, informal and intercultural education and school education in Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine but also between these countries and other countries in Europe. Goals of the Contact Seminar

The main goals of the seminar are to initiate long term cooperation between youth organisations from EU – countries/EFTA -countries and countries from Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the topic of “Human Rights”, to exchange information about the status quo of youth work in the respective countries. The Contact Making Seminar will focus on Action 1 (Youth Exchange) and Action 5 (Support Measures) of the YOUTH Programme of the European Commission. As a follow up youthNET expects that participants prepare and submit concrete project proposals to respective YOUTH National Agencies.



Goals of the Ukrainian Youth Forum:

Participants of the seminar will join the Ukrainian Youth Forum: organized by Fond Aspern. The Youth forum will be joined by about 200 youth representatives from different Ukrainian regions and international guests! The main goal of the youth Forum is to present Ukrainian youth work and the organisations represented at the Contact Making seminar to a broader public. ! International participants are expected to present their organisation and their projects at this forum!



Who can participate?

Youth workers and active members of youth organisations who are interested in working on the topic “Human Rights education” from following countries:

Belarus, Russian Federation, Ukraine
EU –countries
Bulgaria, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Romania, Turkey
30 places for participants are available! You will be informed if you are chosen for participation at the latest 24 October 2005. With the positive answer you will receive a detailed info letter!!!



Working Language

The seminar will be held in ENGLISH language!

(only typed and readable applications will be taken into account) at the latest 20 October 2005!



Costs

Expenses for travel, accommodation, meals and participation in the seminar will be covered 100 % by Interkulturelles Zentrum/youthNET. Travel costs for participants will be reimbursed only after the seminar as soon as they have sent back to Interkulturelles Zentrum receipts and original travel tickets!
