Awaara (1951) - Raj Kapoor
Raju lives as a derelict as a result of being estranged from his bitter father, a district judge, whom threw Raju's mother out of the household years before. Raju shacks up with a dacoit (pickpocket bandit) as his surrogate father only to realize that the man is actually responsible for the original misunderstanding for having his mother thrown out. Raju kills him, and then tries killing his father, but fails, is arrested, and is taken to court right before his very own father court where Raju has his childhood girlfriend as his legal representative, and his father must pass judgment without involving any personal sentiment.

The story of Krishna, Manju, Chillum and the other children on the streets of Bombay. Sometimes they can get a temporary job sellng tea, but mostly they have to beg for money and keep out of the way of the police.
Fed-up of being continuously bullied by his elder brother, Krishna sets fire to his motor-bike, and this gets him into big trouble with his mother. She takes him to the nearby Apollo Circus, and tells him that he can only come home after he earns Rs.500/- to pay for the damaged bike. Krishna agrees to do so and finds employment with the circus. One day the Circus Boss asks him to run an errand, and when Krishna returns back he finds that the circus has packed up and traveled elsewhere. Alone, with nowhere to turn to, and unable to find Rs.500 to repay his mother, he decides to travel to the nearest big city - which is Bombay. Upon his arrival in Bombay, he is robbed of all his meager possessions. He follows the thieves, and befriends them. He ends up in Bombay's notorious red-light area of Falkland Road near Grant Road Railway Station. One of the thieves, Chillum, also a drug pusher and addict, helps Krishna get a job with the owner of a tea stall "Grant Road Tea Stall". Krishna's gets a new name "Chaipau", and learns to live with it. His goal is to get the Rs.500 and return home to his mother. Krishna soon finds out that saving money with his surroundings and people near him is next to impossible. To make matters worse, he has a crush on a young prostitute, Sola Saal, he sets fire to her room and attempts to elope with her - in vain. This gets him a severe beating, and he also loses his job. He works odd jobs to feed himself, and look after Chillum, who cannot live without his drugs. He and his pals also rob an elderly Parsi man of his belongings by breaking into his house in broad daylight. One night while returning home, he and several of his friends are apprehended by the police, and taken to a juvenile home. But this detention was not to last very long, as Krishna escapes, and goes back to his world - the world of drug-pushers, pimps, prostitutes, and nurture his dream of someday going back to his mother.

Movie Plot:
This is the story about the resilience shown by the Indians when they were under the British Rule. They are already taxed to the bone by the British and their cronies, but when Jack Russell announces that he will double the Lagaan (tax) from all villagers, they decide to oppose it. Leading the villagers is a handsome young man named Bhuvan, who challenges them to a game of cricket, a game that is to be played by veteran British cricket players, versus villagers, including Bhuvan himself, who have never played this game before, and do not even know a bat from a piece of wood. As the challenge is accepted, the interest grows and attracts Indians from all over the region, as well as the British from all over the country - as everyone gathers to see the 'fair play' that the British will display against their counter-parts, who are aided by none other than the sister, Elizabeth, of Captain Rusell.

Each of them is feisty and loyal. Into this group comes Sue straight from the UK, all determined to make her film on Indian freedom fighters, despite the shortage of funds. Introduced to the others by Sonia, she develops a strong bond with the rest, and especially with DJ. She persuades them to act in the film, and even woos Hindutva-vadi student party-worker Pandey to take the role of Ramprakash Bismil. Gradually the friends ponder over their roles and the lives of the selfless freedom-fighters, and in the face of a tragedy, realize that they too, like Bhagat Singh and Azad, must take action, to ensure that their now corrupt and poverty-laden country, awakens and the guilty do not go unpunished. How they do it, makes for an engrossing second-half.

A sequel to "Koi ... Mil Gaya" (2003), also posted here, this is widely regarded as India´s first true superhero movie.Krishna Mehra has been born with superhuman powers - a superior mind and incredible physical strength and versatility. After the death of his parents, he is raised by his grandmother. She tries to hide him and his powers from the rest of the world, so they live in a small, reclusive village in the mountains. Krishna falls in love with Singapore tourist Priya and follows her home, not knowing that she wants to profit from making him a media star. In Singapore Krishna by accident takes on an alternative identity as masked superhero Krrish, who has to fight evil scientist Dr. Arya, who wants to achieve world domination by creating a computer "that sees the future" (science is raped a lot in this movie). Da li neko ima neki film od Shah Rukh Khana a da je sinhronizovan na njemacki da postavi na rapidshare,posto nas sigurno ima koji smo navikli da gledamo na rtl2 i bilo bi nam tesko prebaciti se na titlovanu verziju?

Ne znam da li si ikad gledala njemacki program,al oni imaju obicaj da sve sinhronizuju,ono govore preko na njemackom,i bude prilicno dobro uradjeno,naravno ako znas njemacki

Kad je vec tema o Bollywoodu -- da li je ko gledao Mughal-e Azam, za koji sam cuo da je jedan od najboljih filmova Bollywooda? Koji su vasi dojmovi o ovom filmu, te da li ga vrijedi pogledati? (do sada nisam imao priliku da gledam neke indijske filmove, pa provjeravam)
